Description

The team builds 3D vision-guided robotic systems and supports the international business from China, with the role based in the Netherlands.

You will be the technical link between overseas customers and distributors and the China-based R&D and product teams.

The job covers the whole project cycle: pre-sales support, solution evaluation, commissioning, troubleshooting, customer training and after-sales support.

Applications include 3D bin picking, robotic part localization and assembly, machine tending, and palletizing and depalletizing.

Responsibilities

  • Before a sale, talk with overseas customers and distributors in English to pin down their technical needs and use cases.
  • Help assess whether a solution is feasible, and run product demos, technical presentations and product selection.
  • Write English technical proposals, application documents and technical attachments for quotes.
  • Work with the international sales team to spot technical risks and support new business.
  • Help commission and deliver 3D vision-guided robot applications such as bin picking, positioning and assembly, and machine tending.
  • Troubleshoot remotely and on site so projects are delivered and accepted by the customer.
  • Find and fix common problems with 3D vision, point cloud processing, calibration, robot communication and system integration.
  • Track each technical issue to closure and record the fix for later use.
  • Teach basic robot programming, make simple program changes and debug communication on mainstream industrial robots.
  • Help with hand-eye calibration, coordinate system alignment, robot positioning and vision-guided motion integration.
  • Work with customers and system integrators to improve application performance and stability.
  • Give online and on-site technical training in English to overseas customers and distributors.
  • Write English user manuals, FAQs, troubleshooting guides and training materials.
  • Help build standard commissioning procedures and a library of application cases.
  • Gather feedback, technical problems and enhancement requests from overseas customers.
  • Pass field requirements and troubleshooting findings to China-based R&D and product teams.
  • Help with software updates, product validation and technical improvements.
  • Answer customer technical requests and coordinate remote support across time zones.
  • Travel internationally for short periods when needed for commissioning, training or urgent issues.

Requirements

  • A master's degree or higher in automation, robotics, control engineering, machine vision, mechatronics, measurement and control, electronic information engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
  • 2, 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial 3D vision, robot applications, machine vision integration or automation project delivery.
  • Hands-on work on industrial 3D vision-guided robot projects is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of structured light, Time-of-Flight (ToF) or stereo vision cameras.
  • Familiarity with hand-eye calibration, 6D pose estimation, point cloud processing, coordinate transformations and unstructured bin picking.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial protocols such as TCP/IP and PROFINET.
  • Familiarity with mainstream industrial robots, including basic teaching, simple program edits and debugging.
  • Able to troubleshoot common faults across vision systems, robot communication, calibration and system integration.
  • Fluent English in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
  • Able to explain technical requirements and solutions on your own and take part in technical meetings with overseas customers.
  • Able to write technical documents and run customer training in English.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across cultures.
  • Willing to work closely with international sales, customers, distributors and China-based R&D teams.
  • Willing to travel internationally for short project assignments.
