Description

The company makes video security, business intelligence and loss prevention solutions. Its on-site and cloud products protect schools, hospitals, banks, retail stores and other facilities worldwide, and are sold through a network of certified service providers.

For more than 20 years the company has built an easy-to-use, full-featured video management system and backed it with strong customer service. It is a subsidiary of a larger parent company.

The product team in the Liberty Lake, WA office is growing and is hiring a Product Marketing Specialist.

You will plan, build and run launch strategies for product initiatives. You will push projects to completion while weighing user needs, market trends and competitors, and you will work closely with product management, sales and channel marketing to spot gaps, create resources and deliver sales and marketing assets.

Responsibilities

  • Write product positioning, marketing messages, supporting resources and sales enablement tools so new products and features launch well.
  • Build the go-to-market plan for key products and features using data, insights, the competitive landscape and the company's positioning.
  • Explain what sets the company's technology apart and which customer problems it solves, for both internal and external audiences.
  • Read technical products and software specifications and turn them into benefits that matter to each audience.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by gathering feedback from customer-facing teams to shape new positioning and review past launches.
  • Lead internal review and agreement on key assets so milestones and delivery dates are met.
  • Share launch plans and available resources across the organization so every internal team is informed and ready.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Have 3-5 years of related product marketing experience, preferably at a technology company.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration or a related field.
  • Have graphic design experience and know PowerPoint, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Have extensive writing experience producing persuasive positioning, marketing and sales content.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with people in different roles and teams.
  • Stay detail-oriented while juggling several projects in a collaborative, quick-moving setting.
  • Have strong quantitative and analytical skills and prefer decisions backed by data.
  • Be excited by new technology, original thinking and fast-changing markets.
  • Sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization or any other immigration-related support is not available for this position at this time.
  • Think one-to-many: deliver value across a large portfolio without losing quality.
  • Use data and AI tools to predict what comes next, not only to report on the past, and to decide where to act.
  • Work through channel partners rather than around them, and share ownership of outcomes.
  • Live the company's values: heroic customer service, making value clear and simple to reach, taking responsibility, looking for growth opportunities, acting with integrity, and driving continual improvement.

Conditions

Based in the Liberty Lake, WA office.

The pay range is $25-$35 per hour in base salary, set by qualifications, location and experience, and is part of a total compensation package.

The company is an equal opportunity employer, and it does not accept resumes from third-party recruiters without a previously signed agreement.

Benefits

  • Annual discretionary bonus.
  • Discounted purchase of company stock.
  • Casual dress code; jeans are welcome.
  • Collaborative, creative culture where sharing ideas is encouraged.
  • Medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage from day 1, with a generous medical plan subsidy and a health savings account that the company contributes to.
  • 401k company match of up to $5,000 per year.
  • Company-paid short-term and long-term disability, AD&D and life insurance.
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave.
  • 15 days of paid vacation per year, increasing after year 3.
