Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role is based in either New York, San Francisco, or Mountain View.

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing organization, focused on the Job Seeker audience.

Job seekers are at the heart of LinkedIn's platform and marketplace. Millions of professionals come to LinkedIn to discover opportunities, build their networks, develop new skills, showcase their experience, and navigate every stage of their careers. As LinkedIn continues to evolve into the most trusted destination for career growth, we are committed to creating products and experiences that help job seekers find the right opportunities and achieve better career outcomes.

As a Product Marketing Manager for Job Seekers, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the job search experience. You will develop compelling narratives around our products, deeply understand the needs and behaviors of job seekers, and influence product strategy through audience and market insights. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science, Communications, and Marketing teams to bring innovative, AI-powered experiences to market that help job seekers navigate an increasingly dynamic world of work.

The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, storyteller, researcher, and operator—someone who is excited about understanding member needs and translating them into products, positioning, and experiences that drive meaningful impact. You bring a solution-oriented and creative mindset to think of new ways we can better help job seekers.

Responsibilities

  • Define audience strategy, positioning, and messaging: Craft differentiated narratives that clearly communicate how LinkedIn helps professionals discover opportunities, make informed career decisions, and achieve better outcomes throughout their career journey.
  • Be the voice of the Job Seeker: Develop a deep understanding of job seeker needs, motivations, pain points, and behaviors through qualitative and quantitative research. Bring audience insights into product planning, roadmap discussions, and company strategy to ensure LinkedIn continues to earn and maintain trust with professionals worldwide.
  • Influence product strategy and roadmap: Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and Research teams to identify unmet needs, market opportunities, and emerging trends. Use competitive intelligence, industry signals, and member insights to help shape product investments and prioritize experiences that improve job seeker outcomes.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution: Own end-to-end go-to-market plans for new features, products, and insights. Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Marketing, Communications, and Hirer audience teams to ensure successful launches and adoption globally.
  • Drive audience growth, engagement, and adoption: Identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement, retention, and trust among job seekers. Partner with lifecycle, brand, and growth marketing teams to create messaging that connect product value to member needs across the job search journey.
  • Evangelize the Job Seeker perspective: Serve as an internal and external champion for job seekers. Communicate audience insights, product strategy, and market trends across the organization, and help establish LinkedIn as the most trusted platform for career growth and opportunity.
  • Inform hirer side of marketplace: Understand the hirer/customer side of the careers marketplace to strategically inform hiring products and GTM strategies from the POV of the job seeker and identify areas of opportunity for deeper collaboration and consistency.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, with a preference for product marketing

  • Knack for visual communication, able to bring a compelling story to life in slides, being nimble and self-sufficient with deck design, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate many types of personalities and to establish cross-functional partnerships across the organization.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize time and resources based on business impact
  • A consistent, demonstrated track record of influencing product strategies and launching experiences that drive material business impact
