This Product Manager, Savings role sits in the Day-to-Day Banking Products team inside Canadian Personal Banking and reports to the Senior Manager, Savings.

The job helps the company's Savings portfolio perform well and change over time through stronger product features, pricing and policy delivery, operations, controls, reporting and frontline support.

The goal is better customer experience, portfolio results and sustainable profit. You will find operational problems and their causes, then use data, automation and technology to cut manual work, improve service levels and fix recurring customer and frontline issues.

Responsibilities

  • Turn business, customer, frontline, operational and control needs into clear requirements, process designs and implementation plans.
  • Define requirements and help design, deliver, test, launch and manage new Savings products and offer features over time.
  • Find ways to simplify or modernise current workflows, tools, controls and customer or employee experiences.
  • Work with Technology, Digital, Operations and delivery teams so solutions scale, can be supported and match business goals.
  • Manage Savings pricing end to end, covering interest rates, promotions, service charges and fees, while weighing customer value, competitor position and portfolio economics.
  • Analyse pricing, performance, customer and financial data to recommend moves that grow balances, revenue, net interest income and profitable portfolio returns.
  • Run pricing changes through governance, approvals, system build, communication, validation and post-launch monitoring.
  • Write business cases and executive-ready recommendations that show customer, financial, operational and risk effects.
  • Build and improve recurring reports, dashboards and management information on portfolio performance, pricing, risk, service levels and escalations.
  • Use advanced Excel, SQL or similar query tools, and Power BI, to analyse data and produce useful insights.
  • Raise data quality and reporting accuracy, automate work, and give the Savings team and key partners self-serve information.
  • Use Power Automate and related tools to streamline manual steps, alerts, approvals, tracking and recurring team routines.
  • Set metrics that show whether process and capability changes cut effort, escalations and turnaround time.
  • Help manage complex Savings customer and frontline issues that need product, policy, pricing, process or system knowledge.
  • Coordinate investigation and fixes with frontline, operations, technology, risk and other partners, keeping ownership, communication and good customer outcomes clear.
  • Use operational data, service metrics, customer feedback and recurring issue patterns to find root causes and wider fixes.
  • Drive lasting fixes through process redesign, automation, clearer policy, stronger controls, frontline guidance, training or system changes.
  • Build feedback loops and reports that prove gains in efficiency, service, issue prevention and customer and employee experience.
  • Build strong working relationships with branch, contact centre, digital and operations partners to learn their pain points and improve how Savings products are supported and serviced.
  • Give clear product guidance and help create frontline communications, job aids, procedures and training materials.
  • Set up structured ways for frontline staff to give feedback and use it to shape product, policy, process and capability changes.
  • Speak for the Savings product team in operational forums and make sure frontline impact is weighed in business decisions.
