Product Manager

Description

The role is a senior product manager position on an AI-powered engineering intelligence platform. The platform helps enterprise organizations improve software delivery, engineering productivity, code quality, and AI adoption using data-driven insights.

The company wants a product manager with real software engineering depth who will lead the platform's development. The ideal person has hands-on development experience and moved into product management within the last 2, 3 years. They understand engineering workflows and work well with engineers, AI/ML teams, and enterprise stakeholders.

Preferred background: candidates from companies in engineering intelligence, developer productivity, DevOps, observability, and software delivery platforms are strongly preferred. Named target companies include LinearB, Jellyfish, DX, Swarmia, Allstacks, Harness, Datadog, GitLab, Atlassian, and PagerDuty.

Responsibilities

• Set the product strategy, vision, roadmap, and requirements for the engineering intelligence platform.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and AI/ML teams to build and ship product capabilities.
• Study engineering workflows, telemetry, and delivery metrics to find ways to boost productivity.
• Build solutions that raise software delivery performance, code quality, and developer experience.
• Talk with CTOs, engineering leaders, and enterprise customers to understand their business and technical problems.
• Turn complex technical requirements into scalable features with measurable results.
• Guide product work from ideation through launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement.

Requirements

• Significant prior experience as a software engineer, software developer, or similar technical role.
• About 2, 3 years of product management experience after moving over from software engineering.
• Experience building or managing enterprise SaaS products, developer tools, engineering analytics, or AI-powered platforms.
• Solid grasp of the SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience working with engineering, data, and cross-functional product teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Datadog, or similar engineering platforms is an advantage.

Conditions

Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, with 2, 3 days per week in the office.

Base salary of $180K, $220K, negotiable.
