The Company operates Snapchat , a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world, and Specs Inc. , a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to making computing more human, in addition to Bitmoji , Saturn, and other digital services.

The Ads Platform organization drives innovation and performance across our advertising platform, empowering businesses to achieve success and measurable growth through advertising on Snap. Our Product and Engineering teams work together to build solutions that deliver impactful results for advertisers. We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to join the Ad Marketplace team and identify, build, and scale the next generation of growth opportunities for Snap’s Ads Marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Own the long-term product strategy and roadmap for Ads Marketplace growth across Snapchat’s existing and emerging surfaces.
  • Identify and prioritize new opportunities to grow the marketplace through incremental inventory supply, new advertiser use cases, expanded demand, differentiated monetization models, and new marketplace structures.
  • Develop a clear portfolio of growth opportunities by evaluating market potential, user and advertiser value, revenue impact, technical feasibility, strategic fit, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Lead selected zero-to-one and early-stage growth initiatives end to end, from problem discovery and business-case development through product definition, experimentation, launch, and initial scaling.
  • Assess how changes in consumer behavior, content consumption, product experiences, creator and publisher ecosystems, and partner strategies may create new opportunities or risks for the Ads Marketplace.
  • Evaluate the direct and downstream effects of potential product changes on monetizable supply, advertiser demand, auction participation, inventory quality, advertiser performance, pricing, yield, and revenue.
  • Define the Marketplace products, structures, and capabilities needed to unlock new growth opportunities, including supply & demand mechanisms, advertiser access, campaign eligibility, measurement, and monetization models.
  • Develop strategies for introducing new inventory and marketplace opportunities, including opportunity sizing, demand readiness, rollout sequencing, success criteria, experimentation, and long-term scaling.
  • Partner with consumer-surface and Contents PMs to understand their product strategies and identify opportunities where advertising can create sustainable incremental value.
  • Partner with Ad Format PMs and Design teams, which own format-specific product and UX development, to ensure new experiences address the identified advertiser and Marketplace opportunity.
  • Work closely with Auction, Ranking, Bidding, Pacing, Inventory, Delivery, Measurement, Engineering, and Data Science teams to translate strategic opportunities into scalable Marketplace products.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and advertiser-facing teams to understand unmet customer needs, validate new opportunities, and build advertiser demand for emerging products and inventory.
  • Establish clear operating mechanisms across partner teams, including joint roadmaps, decision rights, experiment reviews, launch criteria, performance monitoring, and escalation paths.
  • Communicate growth strategy, opportunity assessments, product trade-offs, experiment results, risks, and investment recommendations clearly to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Stay current on consumer, content, advertising, marketplace, and technology trends to identify emerging opportunities and ensure Snap’s product portfolio continues to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of advertising marketplaces, including inventory supply, advertiser demand, auction dynamics, monetization, advertiser performance, and marketplace health.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate, and develop new product or business-growth opportunities in ambiguous and rapidly evolving areas.
  • Strong system-level thinking across consumer experiences, content ecosystems, advertiser objectives, marketplace mechanics, and company goals.
  • Ability to translate changes in consumer products, user behavior, content, or technology into clear implications and opportunities for an advertising marketplace.
  • Experience developing zero-to-one products and leading initiatives from initial opportunity discovery through launch and measurable impact.
  • Strong product and business judgment, with the ability to prioritize among opportunities that involve complex user, advertiser, partner, technical, and revenue trade-offs.
  • Revenue-focused leadership with a track record of identifying and delivering meaningful product, marketplace, or business growth.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with experience using experimentation, opportunity sizing, scenario analysis, and structured decision frameworks to guide product strategy.
  • Proven ability to influence and align executives, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Design, Sales, Partnerships, and other cross-functional leaders without relying on formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex marketplace dynamics into clear product strategies and investment recommendations.
  • Ability to balance long-term portfolio strategy with detailed execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.
