Product Manager, Financial Data - Private Markets & Deals

Description

The company sells an AI platform for market intelligence and workflow automation, used by thousands of organizations in business and finance. Its content library holds more than 500 million premium business documents, including equity research, earnings call transcripts, expert interviews, filings, news, and internal proprietary material.

The Financial Data team sources, integrates, and delivers the structured datasets that power the platform, putting them into the workflows where clients work.

This role owns the next generation of financial data offerings, with a focus on Private Markets, including shareholder and deals content. You will sit between the datasets and the research and diligence work of end users, setting the roadmap for how users find, assess, and act on this content.

You will work with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define requirements, write PRDs, and lead new feature development.

Responsibilities

• Set and carry out short- and mid-term roadmaps for private markets, shareholder, and deals content that fit business goals and client needs.
• Help shape the long-term Financial Data vision by learning who the clients are, such as analysts, bankers, and corporate development professionals, and how they use the data for diligence, deal sourcing, and ownership analysis.
• Keep checking where private markets, shareholder, and deals data has gaps, and set priorities for sourcing and coverage to fill them.
• Write and rank PRDs based on customer research and client feedback, covering content coverage, data quality, and how easily vendor, shareholder, and deals content can be found.
• Work with core data platform teams to keep data delivery, sourcing pipeline performance, and reliability strong for vendor, shareholder, and deals content.
• Design and run QA approaches that check content coverage, accuracy, and completeness.
• Work with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams so new content and features launch well and get adopted.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience building SaaS products alongside engineering and scrum teams.
• Experience with financial data or search products.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce PRDs, roadmaps, and requirements that bring stakeholders into agreement and get work delivered.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with a record of managing a complex product backlog and shipping features from start to finish.
• Strategic and discovery-driven, with real curiosity about client workflows and pain points, especially for financial analysts, investment bankers, and corporate development or deal teams.
• Familiarity with AI-powered search or workflow technology.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is required.

Conditions

The base salary range is $100,000 to $139,000 CAD. Ranges are set by function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies and internal peers, and shared on every posting regardless of hiring location. Final offers depend on factors such as experience and expertise and may fall outside this range.
