Description

The company is a Series C startup backed by Y Combinator. It has more than 5M customers, has raised over $240M, was founded in 2017, launched its first product in 2019 and became profitable in 2024.

The company is building an AI advisor that manages a person's physical assets. It began with cars in 2019 and is now moving into homes, motorcycles, RVs, boats and more. The goal is to take over the buying, insuring, maintaining, repairing and selling of these assets, which are currently fragmented and costly.

The next target is growing from 5M to 50M customers by 2030. This year the company launched five products: home insurance, property tax, motorcycle insurance, car repair shop bids and roadside assistance. Each one has its own operations, customer problems and path to scale.

The company has more ideas than people to build them. This program adds 2-3 Product Managers-in-Training, who will be mentored by the cofounder and CEO, a two-time YC founder, and will build or scale one of the new verticals.

You report directly to the CEO and see the daily challenges of a late-stage startup in a rapid growth phase. You work across product, growth, operations, finance, engineering and data, and learn to turn big-picture strategy into execution across a complex business.

Strong graduates often move into product or commercial leadership, such as owning a P&L, either at the company or elsewhere.

Team members have come from places such as Nvidia, Meta, Amazon, BCG, McKinsey, Bain and GEICO. The company is led by serial founders.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO to develop and scale one of the company's new product verticals.
  • Learn how a serial founder works through problems and makes decisions.
  • Gain exposure to nearly every function, including product, growth, operations, finance, engineering and data.
  • Turn big-picture strategies into concrete execution and handle the complexity of the business.
  • Take responsibility for fixing broken things, including those outside your immediate area.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you have 1+ years in a demanding environment such as management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, an early-stage startup or something similar.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • You can work in person at the Palo Alto office alongside the CEO and executive team, at least for your first 6-12 months.
  • You keep learning and sharpen your skills until you master whatever you focus on.
  • You treat the company's results as your own and fix what breaks, even outside your lane.
  • You stay resilient and believe most challenges can be solved.
  • You act quickly, push for results and get frustrated when progress stalls.
