The company builds an AI-native software platform that helps US-based manufacturers find and work with the critical suppliers they need to build and manage their supply chains.
The platform covers Supplier Relationship Management, Supply Chain workflows and Supplier Intelligence, and serves both DoD and commercial customers.
The team is working toward a supply base of local and regional suppliers that connect and do business more easily with the industry and government customers that depend on them, with secure, resilient links between them.
Responsibilities
Improve the overall user experience of the platform, covering both user experience and visual design across all of its products.
Use and extend the AI-driven prototyping tools, design system and shared patterns across the areas you work on.
Partner with product management and engineering to design around what users functionally need.
Plan and run research with manufacturers and suppliers, including interviews and rapid prototype tests, and summarise what you learn clearly.
Create UX artifacts such as journey maps, interaction models and high-fidelity UI built on the design system.
Use AI model-driven tools such as Claude to generate UI and working prototypes from the design system, so you can test ideas quickly and show users concepts early.
Design data-dense procurement screens and AI-assisted decision flows that keep users in control and trust high.
Write design specs that account for edge cases, and stay involved through QA and launch.
Present your designs and reasoning to the team, and exchange critique with it.
Report to the VP of Product and work as an equal partner with product and engineering.
The role is open at the Product Designer or Senior Product Designer level. Everyone applies to the same posting, and the level is set by your experience and interviews.
At the senior level, you will also own design coherence across the whole platform so it works as one system, and own the information architecture and reusable patterns that link the core workflows.
At the senior level, you will set the long-term design vision for how buyers and suppliers use the platform, including AI-assisted decisions, and make sure it reaches the roadmap.
At the senior level, you will set the research agenda and keep a steady research cadence that guides product priorities.
At the senior level, you will present designs and reasoning to company leadership.
At the senior level, you will strengthen the design system so AI models can build from it reliably, build a critique culture and research habits, and mentor designers as the team grows.
