As a Product Designer, you help influence user behavior and strengthen brand-to-customer relationships by contributing to the delivery of elegant and engaging digital products and services. You will partner with project managers, user researchers, senior product designers, content strategists, and developers to bring end-to-end digital experiences to life. Your work will be mostly hands-on and focused on client delivery. You'll grow your skills alongside experienced design leaders and contribute to the growth of our practice.

Requirements

  • Creating personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, responsive visual designs, and interactive prototypes that follow interaction design and usability best practices
  • Working with the project team to deliver high-quality client work and sharing knowledge with peers
  • Presenting design concepts and rationale to clients and internal teams clearly and persuasively
  • Producing clean, concise presentations that explain the reasoning behind your designs
  • Giving constructive feedback on experience design, including interactions, information architecture, content, layout, and alignment with goals and brand
  • Supporting competitive assessments and researching design and technology trends
  • Contributing to the evolution of CX methods, capabilities, approaches, and tools
  • Attending and taking part in CX meetings and trainings
  • Taking part in professional development and industry involvement
  • Applying user interface design best practices across platforms, including web, OS-native, and embedded apps
  • Advocating for accessible experience and visual design with clients and team members
  • Exploring AI-powered design tools and workflows, keeping up with emerging technologies, and trying new approaches to improve creativity, efficiency, and impact
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in product, UX, or interaction design, ideally in a design consultancy or digital agency
  • 4-year degree in design, HCI, or a similar field preferred
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams at once while delivering on time and within scope
  • Experience in several areas of human-centered design, such as user research, experience strategy, information architecture, experience design, content strategy, and customer insight
  • Strong written, verbal, conceptual, and visual communication skills
  • Proficiency in Figma is required, including designing developer-ready visual assets and UI components. Familiarity with auto layout, component libraries, variables, and design tokens is preferred.
  • Experience with AI-powered prototyping tools (such as Claude Code, Claude for Design, Lovable, UX Pilot, Figma Make, or similar) is a plus
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is a plus
  • Familiarity with user research tools (e.g., Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, SurveyMonkey) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Agile product development lifecycles and practices is a plus
  • Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and inclusive design principles is a plus

  • Company Description
  • CapTech is a national technology and management consulting firm. Our Government portfolio designs, builds, and modernizes the systems that government organizations depend on to serve residents: benefits and claims platforms, case management, data and analytics, and the digital services citizens and employers actually touch. We are a delivery-first firm: the people who sell the work stand next to the people who do it, our consultants are employees rather than subcontractors, and our reputation in this market rests on programs that go live and stay live.
