Product Delivery Manager

Description

The role sits in RDT Pharma Commercial Market Access, where you lead, plan and deliver complex initiatives and find ways to improve how work gets done.

You set the scope of initiatives yourself and use analysis to make sure they deliver value. You also link your team's growth to wider business goals.

Depending on the need, the role may take the form of a Senior Business Analyst, Squad Lead, Project Manager or Service (Delivery) Manager.

Responsibilities

• Run initiatives or work streams on your own, managing their complexity and size.
• Take Pharma Commercial Market Access RDT initiatives from start to close.
• Set project scope, goals, timelines, budgets and resourcing, then lead the project team.
• Handle risks and dependencies, and clear blockers for the team so the product-centred delivery model works better across the organisation.
• Make sure projects and squads deliver business value and meet quality standards.
• Work with Product Managers, IT Business Partners, business stakeholders and the delivery squad to reach product goals, and to understand business processes, pain points and strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with third-party partners and vendors.
• Find chances to use technology to improve processes.
• See how each project fits the bigger picture and depends on others.
• Help grow the RDT Pharma Commercial Market Access department.
• Advise the business on how IT can support its objectives.

Requirements

• A university degree or equivalent.
• Extensive experience running initiatives independently across complex, large and unclear situations, and getting teams aligned.
• 8+ years as a Delivery Manager using structured project management methods.
• A project management certification such as PMI PMP is preferred, or an equivalent.
• Systems thinking, so you can give holistic, enterprise-wide advice.
• Thorough knowledge of system development life cycles such as Waterfall, Agile and iterative.
• Solid experience planning and tracking schedules with clearly defined critical paths.
• Skill managing scope, time, cost, quality, risk and team dynamics across multiple global locations and functions.
• A proven ability to lead people through change and uncertainty.
• Knowledge of or experience with ITIL for IT service management and operations.
• Vendor management experience is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management, and a role-model approach to teamwork that builds collaboration across IT and the business.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Strong listening, problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills.
• Experience deploying GxP validated systems is an advantage.
• A clear focus on customers and delivery, and a structured, outcome-driven approach.
• Self-motivation and the ability to build networks across the organisation.
• You work well in a team and can also drive work alone.
• You need limited direction and decide on methods for new assignments.
