Description

The company develops scientific solutions for hard problems such as environmental protection, food safety and cancer research. This role sits within its global web content work.

In this role you will keep technical product content accurate, well structured and easy to find on the company's worldwide website. You will work with internal divisions on new product launches and use scientific knowledge, mainly in molecular biology and genomics, to improve product details. The content supports customer search, product choice and buying decisions, which helps drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Gather product attributes, descriptions and images from internal divisions to launch new products and improve existing listings.
  • Publish complete, accurate product information that follows authoring procedures, style rules, brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Interpret technical specifications, applications and terminology using your scientific knowledge.
  • Where relevant, apply molecular biology and genomics knowledge as a secondary focus, such as for DNA and RNA sequencing, qPCR, microarray, and gene-expression workflows.
  • Think like a customer comparing scientific products to define the attributes and relationships that support search, filtering, comparison and selection.
  • Spot content gaps, inconsistencies and data-quality problems. Work with product management, suppliers and scientific, clinical, regulatory, technical or legal colleagues to fix them and validate information when needed.
  • Use emerging and AI-enabled tools for enrichment, classification, quality assurance and efficiency, with human review of the output.
  • Keep business partners, IT and other colleagues informed so content is delivered on time. Work across teams on ongoing improvement, including through PPI.
  • Refine product attributes, taxonomy, terminology and content relationships for consistency, discoverability and machine readability across digital platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biochemistry, cell biology, biotechnology, biomedical science or a related discipline.
  • Ability to read technical specifications, applications, product attributes and scientific or clinical terminology, and to recognise when information needs checking with a suitable technical, regulatory, legal, product management, supplier, clinical or other authoritative source.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with genomics, molecular biology or chromatography product information, digital product content, product data or a related field.
  • Solid command of spelling, grammar, editing and composition, with meticulous care for scientific and technical correctness.
  • Experience with PIM, CMS, taxonomy or structured product data is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis, including spotting patterns, gaps, inconsistencies and chances to improve content and data.
  • Self-driven, able to work alone or in a team, with solid project and time management and the ability to juggle several priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Good speaking and writing skills for discussing requirements, progress, risks and deadlines with scientific, technical, clinical, digital and business stakeholders.
  • Curious and adaptable, willing to learn new technologies and grow your skills as content platforms, search and AI capabilities develop.
