Principal Engineer - AI/ML Engineer

Description

The control plane team is hiring a hands-on architect-engineer to build the system that links the company's AI developer platforms, including AWS Bedrock, to its governance hubs.

You will be the builder who designs the APIs, CI/CD guardrails, and real-time telemetry that let autonomous agents run safely at enterprise scale.

You will work daily with platform engineers, DevOps and DataOps staff, data scientists, and product developers across business units to bring their models under governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and write automated CI/CD pipelines that build Security and RIL (Responsible AI, Integrity, Legal) guardrails into every deployment.
• Build agent simulation and continuous real-time observability for production LLMs.
• Design IAM and routing logic in the Agent Gateway so autonomous workflows stay within secure access boundaries.
• Build robust APIs that connect the developer platforms with the governance hubs.

Requirements

• You have a bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• You have six or more years of relevant experience, gained through work, military service, specialized training, or a mix of these.
• You have hands-on experience with LLM operationalization, orchestration frameworks, model evaluation, agentic workflows, and automated safety testing.
• You have worked in cloud architecture, including AWS Bedrock.
• You enjoy working with numbers and digging into data to find what it shows.
• You are detail-oriented and understand that accuracy matters in data analytics and reporting.
• You work independently, handle several tasks at once, and meet tight timelines.
• You want to improve customer experience by supplying the data that guides it.
• Even better: a master's degree in computer science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Even better: six or more years of platform engineering plus applied ML engineering or AI science.
• Even better: advanced Python and Kubernetes skills.
• Even better: advanced knowledge of CI/CD deployment tools.
• Even better: knowledge of automated safety testing and agentic identity and access management.

Conditions

This is a hybrid role with a set work location that includes working from home and at least three days a week in the office, as assigned by your manager.

You are responsible for following the hybrid work policies.

Scheduled hours are 40 per week.
