Presales Consultant (Card Issuing and Processing)

Description

The company is hiring a Presales Consultant with experience in card issuing and card processing to work on customer opportunities across Europe.

The role suits someone early in their presales career who already knows the cards and payments ecosystem and wants to build deeper commercial and technical skills. You will work with customers and internal colleagues to pin down requirements, shape suitable solutions and explain how those solutions meet customer needs.

You do not need decades of experience. The company wants strong fundamentals, curiosity and the ability to turn payments technology into clear value for customers.

The role builds on existing cards and presales experience, with more exposure to customer engagements and solution development, and a chance to grow in the payments industry at the meeting point of technology, payments and commercial problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Take part in presales work from first discovery and qualification through solution discussions, demos and proposal support.
• Talk with prospective customers to learn their business needs, problems and goals.
• Use your card issuing and processing knowledge to help shape solutions that fit what customers need.
• Give clear, persuasive solution presentations and demos to both technical and business audiences.
• Work alongside sales and technical or product colleagues across each customer engagement.
• Answer customer requirements and help prepare proposals and other presales material.
• Explain technical capabilities and payments concepts in terms of business benefit.
• Expand your understanding of the wider payments ecosystem and become a trusted go-to resource for customers and colleagues.

Requirements

• Show hands-on knowledge or professional experience in card issuing, card processing or both.
• Show previous experience in a presales, solutions consulting or similar customer-facing solutions role.
• Understand the cards and payments ecosystem and how issuing and processing solutions serve customers.
• Turn customer requirements into relevant solution conversations.
• Communicate with confidence to both technical and non-technical people.
• Present and communicate well.
• Have up to 7 years of relevant professional experience, in line with this junior-to-mid-level role.
• Be based in Sweden, or able to work there.
• Would be valuable: experience supporting customer presentations, demonstrations or solution workshops.
• Would be valuable: exposure to banks, financial institutions, fintechs or other organisations in the payments ecosystem.
• Would be valuable: experience answering customer requirements as part of a commercial sales process.
• Would be valuable: broader knowledge of payments technology beyond card issuing and processing.
• The best fit combines payments knowledge with a customer focus. You understand card issuing and processing well enough to hold credible customer conversations, and you still want to learn, deepen your technical knowledge and advance your presales career.
• The company is most interested in someone who can listen to a customer's problem, grasp the outcome they want, and present a relevant solution clearly and engagingly.
