Description

This is a remote role, so you will mostly work from home as a pre-sales technical adviser for the company's networking business.

You will support account managers, channel partners and customers through the sales cycle, helping small and medium-sized businesses update, secure and simplify their networks.

The work covers wired and wireless networking, network security, routing, SD-WAN, SASE and cloud-managed networking. You will handle several opportunities at once in a fast, high-volume inside sales setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work with account managers on account plans, opportunity qualification and the technical side of deals in your territory.
  • Run discovery sessions to find out customers' business drivers, technical needs and modernization goals.
  • Assess current environments to find gaps and risks, then propose how to address them.
  • Design end-to-end networking solutions across campus, branch, wireless, routing, SD-WAN and security.
  • Match recommendations to customer business outcomes, digital transformation plans and modernization strategies.
  • Give tailored technical presentations, product demos and virtual sessions for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Help prepare proposals, RFP and RFI responses, bills of materials and solution documents.
  • Work alongside senior engineers, architects and specialists on complex or multi-domain deals.
  • Keep deep knowledge of the company's networking portfolio, including its wired, wireless, routing, data center and SASE offerings.
  • Track trends such as AI-Ops, Zero Trust, NaaS, AI-driven networking and the evolution of campus fabrics.
  • Explain how the company's technology differs from competitors in customer conversations.
  • Build your technical and industry skills through certifications and ongoing training.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years in pre-sales, sales engineering or another customer-facing technical role, taking a consultative approach.
  • You understand networking well, including campus, wireless, routing and WAN, and ideally have worked with SD-WAN, SASE or Zero Trust.
  • You act as a trusted adviser, tying technology choices to business goals and measurable results.
  • You can lead discovery conversations that surface both technical needs and strategic priorities.
  • You can turn complex technical ideas into business value for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
  • You can guide customers through evaluation and decisions, explaining trade-offs, risks and recommended paths.
  • You have hands-on experience designing solutions and can map them onto real customer environments.
  • You work well across teams, partnering with account managers, architects and specialists.
  • You do well in a fast-paced, high-volume inside sales environment, juggling several opportunities with close attention to detail.
  • You are curious and proactive, keeping up with industry trends and growing your technical and business knowledge.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, with strong presentation, storytelling and interpersonal skills.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: Aruba ACA or ACP, Juniper JNCIA, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet FCA or FCP, CWNA.
  • The ideal candidate has a solid networking base, wants to keep building technical depth, enjoys customer contact and works well in a team-oriented, high-velocity sales setting.
