Platform Engineer

Description

You will help shape the infrastructure that the company's enterprise applications run on, as part of the Platform Center of Excellence in Corporate Processes and IT.

The team builds cloud development environments and processes for developers, business lines and the company's customers, giving a base for agents, integrations and applications on the business AI platform.

The team works globally and collaborates both inside and beyond its own group.

The company builds enterprise applications and business AI for finance, procurement, HR, supply chain and customer experience, and has served organisations for over 50 years.

Responsibilities

• Design and build tools and services, and run the frameworks that help teams deliver solutions that are secure and perform well from the start.
• Own platform projects end to end, from defining the architecture to delivering working solutions.
• Drive automation that reduces friction between development and operations.
• Work with IT product and cloud operations teams, turning their needs into robust platform solutions.
• Remove blockers, close capability gaps and raise what engineering teams can achieve with their colleagues.
• Propose better ways of working and pursue them, with the space and support to do so.
• Help build a long-term platform foundation.

Requirements

• Solid experience in platform or infrastructure engineering processes, with a record of delivering solutions in cloud-native enterprise environments.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure as code is required.
• Knowledge of scalable system design is also important.
• Clear communication, able to turn technical detail into guidance for engineers and senior stakeholders.
• The ability to build bridges across teams and bring people with different perspectives to a shared goal.
• Curiosity about agentic architectures, AI-driven platform patterns or adjacent emerging technologies.
• Equally welcome: experience from cloud, DevOps, SRE or related fields.
• Even better: experience as a Scrum Master, and an ambition to grow into that role.
