Description

The company designs smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, and this role supports its validated environment and laboratory construction work for clients in many industries.

You will be the day-to-day project lead for validated environment and laboratory builds across a campus, such as cleanrooms, biosafety cabinets, containment suites, biocontainment labs and related utilities.

You report to the Project Executive and work with Engineering, QA/Validation, Delivery, sponsors and regional leadership to deliver projects within a validated-state framework, with a focus on operational excellence, compliance, and tactical and financial performance.

The role offers hands-on learning through project work, a team that listens to ideas, and support for physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.

Applications are made through the online portal; the company uses AI-assisted tools to help screen candidates, and people make all final hiring decisions. Candidates whose background goes beyond the stated pay range may still apply.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, run, monitor and close validated environment projects across several sites, making sure IQ/OQ/PQ, equipment qualification, data integrity and regulatory expectations are met.
  • Act as the on-site lead, coordinating owners, architects, engineers, QA/Validation staff, contractors and vendors to hit project goals within validated-state limits.
  • Work with the Project Executive to set and maintain scope, schedule and budget baselines, track progress and report deviations. Keep the schedule moving without sacrificing quality.
  • Write and carry out validation strategies and records, including validation plans and commissioning and qualification documents, in line with corporate validation policy.
  • Find, assess and reduce project risks that could affect deliverables, schedule, budget, data integrity or compliance, and escalate them with proposed fixes.
  • Report project performance to the Project Executive, covering schedule, budget, risk, QA/validation progress and regulatory readiness.
  • Handle change orders, delays, procurement and contract administration for assigned projects, keeping them aligned with validated baselines and contract terms. Update all logs at least weekly and manage documents to the standards set in Solution Navigator.
  • Keep documentation controls strong enough to meet contract, QA and regulatory standards and to support inspections, including validation protocols, IQ/OQ/PQ records, SOP alignment and QA approvals.
  • Look for ways to improve validation workflows, data integrity practices and delivery quality to raise client satisfaction.
  • Build and keep relationships with sponsors and stakeholders, acting as a trusted adviser on validated-environment delivery and compliance at project level.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor performance, select qualified partners and keep them on timelines and objectives.
  • Manage project finances for your assignment, including budgeting, forecasting, progress billings and payables, in line with project baselines.
  • Prepare the project team for regulatory inspections and audits through complete documentation and traceability.
  • Build a safe, compliant and collaborative project environment, and guide junior team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering, construction management, business management, architecture, or a related field.
  • 5, 10 years of direct project management on large capital projects, including regulated or validated settings, with typical project sizes of $5, $20M. Portfolio responsibility is not required.
  • Proven record delivering complex, multi-site projects in validated environments (GMP/GLP/ISO 17025) in labs, biopharma, pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, healthcare or similar sectors.
  • Understanding of contract language, project accounting, and basic portfolio management as they apply to validated environments.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leaders and varied stakeholder groups and to influence across functions.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (owners, architects, engineers, QA/Validation, contractors) in regulated contexts.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and reporting platforms, plus advanced MS Office skills to build executive dashboards and presentations.
  • Working knowledge of validation concepts, commissioning and qualification processes, data integrity best practices and regulatory expectations for validated facilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and subcontractors in validated environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work across multiple sites as needed.
  • Preferred: master's degree; PMP or equivalent PMI certification; CQV certification or hands-on experience; CSV awareness and familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11 and related frameworks; hands-on delivery of GMP/GLP labs, ISO 14644 cleanrooms, ISO 17025 laboratories or similar; experience on programs in datacenter-adjacent facilities with strict validation regimes; ability to contribute to continuous improvement of validation processes and data integrity across a portfolio.

Conditions

You will work on site and report to the Project Executive. You may supervise project coordinators or junior team members as part of the project team.

Hiring salary range is $90,500, $135,000. Final pay depends on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity and market data. The posted range is the target compensation.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary and a comprehensive bonus plan based on individual, group and corporate performance.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation per calendar year, plus holidays, sick time and three PTO days per calendar year.
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k), and a benefits package that starts on day one.
  • Extensive product training, on-the-job training and cross-training opportunities.
