Onshape Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Description

Onshape is a cloud-native SaaS platform for product development. It combines computer-aided design (CAD) with data management and collaboration tools, and it lets design teams work together from any location and gives executives real-time business analytics. The company has nearly 7,000 employees worldwide.

This is a 10-week summer internship in the US with hands-on work across the organization. You will join one of Onshape's engineering teams, and the projects and responsibilities depend on the team. Some work is user-facing, some is infrastructure, and some focuses on performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve software features within Onshape.
• Work with engineers and other functions to design and build solutions.
• Review code and act on the feedback you receive.
• Find and fix bugs in new and existing code.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in a degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, engineering, or a related field.
• Show strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Know at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C++. Language needs vary by team.
• Learn new technologies quickly and work in a large codebase.
• Experience with geometric computation is a plus for certain teams.

Conditions

The hourly pay range is $32-$36. Final pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location, and the company also considers background and experience when setting pay.

You must be authorized to work in the United States. This role is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
