Description

The company helps other businesses connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications, from the edge to the cloud.

This is a hybrid role. You will work from an office on average 2 days per week.

You will lead NPI introduction and ongoing support for hybrid cloud and storage platforms in operations, and run strategic projects that improve existing processes or build new ones.

Projects are shorter, simpler and bounded by a set timeframe. Programs are longer, span several functions and projects, and carry complex requirements.

Your work will shape the technical parts of products, solutions and services in a steady, lasting way. You will be a go-to subject matter expert, advise functional and technical teams, and may join cross-functional initiatives. You will make many decisions yourself about the best way to reach objectives.

Working with external parties such as standards bodies and partners may be part of the role.

You may also lead and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-function program that takes an engineering product or service from development through to implementation.
  • Build and direct the schedule, key deliverables, budget, resource allocation and other support needs for the program.
  • Oversee supporting project teams and internal development partners, track progress against plan, and adjust schedules and resources based on business analysis to meet product requirements.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about progress, escalations and issue analysis. Work with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to propose and carry out changes to products, processes or business practices that resolve escalations and keep budgets and roadmaps on track.
  • Manage activities, resource capability, schedules and budgets, and coordinate communication across the company so products finish on time and within budget.
  • Work with engineering management to find and improve process and program efficiencies.
  • Bring new technologies and quality initiatives into projects in manufacturing and/or engineering.
  • Lead and mentor less-experienced staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business management, engineering, computer science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Typically 6-10 years of experience as a program manager.
  • Experience with AI strategy and AI implementations.
  • Extensive hands-on use of project and program planning tools and software to create, manage and track results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven business acumen and a track record of managing all aspects of programs, including stakeholder communication and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with mastery of English and the local language.
  • Ability to present plans, proposals and results, and to negotiate options with senior management.
  • Preferred: PMP or PMI certification.
  • Desired: a strong background in AI tools and AI project implementation.
  • A plus: PMP or Six Sigma certification.

Conditions

Location: Puerto Rico. Job family: Engineering. Job level: TCP04. Area: operations.
