Mobile Engineering Manager - Adobe Scan

The company Scan is a widely used document capture app that helps millions of users turn paper documents into high-quality digital files every day. The company is continuing to invest in the core product, and this role leads the Android team that builds reliable, easy-to-use scanning workflows.

The role covers the main Scan experience, from capture and editing through organizing and sharing. The goal is a roadmap that improves user value, performance and stability. You will lead an engineering team and work with Product, Design and Engineering to ship mobile features at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Android engineers, building ownership and accountability and encouraging steady improvement.
• Carry the product roadmap through to delivery, working with Product and Design on mobile experiences that are intuitive and centred on customers.
• Weigh near-term delivery against long-term work on architecture, quality, scalability and developer productivity.
• Set technical and delivery direction, shaping architecture, major engineering decisions and alignment across platforms.
• Work with ML, imaging, backend and cross-platform teams to make end-to-end experiences feel seamless.
• Promote modern development practices and tools, including AI-assisted workflows.
• Grow the team through coaching, hiring and considered leadership.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong mobile development background.
• At least 5 years of experience managing software engineering teams and shipping high-quality mobile products.
• A solid grounding in mobile architecture, performance optimization and application lifecycle management.
• Experience building end-to-end product experiences that connect with backend systems and APIs.
• Strong communication and organization skills. You can bring clarity and alignment across teams, earn trust and deliver in a collaborative setting.
• A clear commitment to engineering quality, covering testing, maintainability and operational stability.

Conditions

The U.S. pay range is $147,900 - $293,250 per year. Pay varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. A recruiter can share the range for the specific location during hiring.

In California, the pay range is $202,500 - $293,250.

Starting pay for non-sales roles is expressed as base salary, with short-term incentives paid through the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Certain roles may also be eligible for a new hire equity award as a long-term incentive.
