Description

Hozah is a tech-led, award-winning company driving change in the parking industry and reimagining urban mobility. Our mission is simple but powerful: to transform parking into a seamless, automated experience, paving the way for smarter, more sustainable cities. With recognition as PayTech Company of the Year, a place among Deloitte's Top 50 Fastest Growing Tech Companies in the UK, and significant VC/PE investment, we're scaling rapidly and need a skilled Mobile Service Engineer to look after our growing estate across the North of England and Scotland.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Mobile Service Engineer to manage the maintenance and overall health of our car park infrastructure across the North of England and Scotland, ensuring that downtime on sites due to equipment failure is kept to a minimum. You'll be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of existing sites and the coordination of subcontractors to keep operations running seamlessly. The role calls for a mix of technical expertise, knowledge of CCTV/ANPR cameras and a problem-solving mindset, with regular site visits to either oversee or carry out maintenance work.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment maintenance: Maintain ANPR cameras, Pay & Display machines, tablets, signage and other related equipment.
  • RAMS: Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are prepared and followed when on site.
  • Signage & frontline maintenance: Install and replace signage and kiosk consumables as required, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Issue resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues on site, ensuring all equipment functions optimally.
  • Compliance & safety: Adhere to all safe working procedures and compliance guidelines, ensuring a safe and effective work environment.
  • Site visits: Visit sites across the North of England and Scotland on a scheduled basis to carry out general site health checks.
  • Proactive monitoring: Plan and execute regular site visits and maintenance schedules across the northern estate to maintain a high-quality estate.
  • Subcontractor coordination: Coordinate subcontractors on site to ensure maintenance and project work is delivered on time.

Requirements

  • Background in hands-on installation, ideally from companies or industries such as Sky, CCTV, BT, Field IT or IoT-related roles. (ANPR experience is beneficial but not required.)
  • Experience working with subcontractors to ensure projects meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, making on-the-spot decisions to meet project objectives.
  • Experience producing site documentation, such as site maps and install plans.
  • Comfortable working alone, following installation plans and survey documents.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to dynamic site conditions.
  • Based between Leeds and Dundee, and able to travel regularly across all of our sites in the North of England and Scotland.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • Basic knowledge of Risk Assessments and RAMS documentation.
  • Desirable Qualifications / Certificates
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Abrasive Wheels Certification
  • Working at Height Certification
  • Ladder Safety Training
  • Health & Safety Awareness
  • C&G 2365 (Electrical Installation)
  • CAT & Genny Training
  • IPAF (Powered Access Equipment)

Conditions

This is a field-based role covering our northern estate, from Leeds up to Scotland. The ideal candidate will be based between Leeds and Dundee, and must be able to travel regularly to sites across all of our northern locations. We also have a South equivalent of this role, so there may be the odd occasion where you're asked to cover sites further south. We're flexible on working hours where long journeys are involved, and travel time will be factored in where necessary.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary & benefits: Reflective of your experience and designed to support your professional growth and well-being.
  • Company van for site travel.
  • Company pension, sick pay and on-site parking.
  • Flexible, home-based working: Split your time between home and our sites across the North of England and Scotland.
