Android Developer

Description

The company is hiring an Android developer for one of its top projects in Dulles, VA.

The role focuses on solving real-time cyber challenges and suits people who like working on a mission-driven team that stays close to end users.

You can join the project with a TS or higher clearance, and over time your clearance will be raised to TS/SCI + Poly for this customer.

Responsibilities

• Design custom software tools and techniques for Android.
• Own end-to-end design and development of custom software.
• Diagnose and debug problems using both COTS and GOTS tools.
• Apply a solid grasp of how networks operate.
• Write documentation for operating and supporting what you build.
• Mentor and guide junior developers toward mission objectives.
• Solve real-time cyber challenges.

Requirements

• Hold a current Top Secret clearance.
• Write, test and debug Python and C code.
• Build UNIX applications with make files or similar build environments on mission platforms.
• Program CNO tools and techniques.
• Program network sockets and understand IP, TCP and application-level protocols at the packet level.
• Trace code execution in a debugger such as WinDbg, gdb or IDA Pro.
• Reverse engineer native binaries.
• Build proof-of-concept exploit software.
• Understand Unix kernel internals, including the runtime linker and loader, object file formats such as ELF, file systems such as NTFS, ext2 and btrfs, OS-level mandatory and discretionary access control, and process and thread APIs and data structures.
• Understand protections such as ASLR, DEP and NX, how to defeat them, and how to detect when they have been defeated.
• Use version control software such as git or GitLab.
• Nice to have: experience with native-level mobile development.
• Nice to have: experience with vulnerability analysis.
• Nice to have: experience with assembly, ARM preferred.
• Nice to have: understanding of mobile security protections such as SELinux and application sandboxing.
• Nice to have: Objective-C, Swift or C++ programming.
• Nice to have: ability to work alone and within a team where requirements change often and the pace is quick.
• Nice to have: a preferred undergraduate degree in computer science.

Conditions

Location is Dulles, VA.

The Virginia pay range is $150,000 - $200,000 USD.

Pay depends on factors such as location, federal contract labor category, wage rates, experience, skills, education and certifications.
