Description

The company is a Sweden-based AdTech business that builds self-serve advertising platforms, automating direct deals between advertisers and premium publishers worldwide, including brands such as TripAdvisor, Bloomberg, The Washington Post, Opera, and Dow Jones.

It processes millions of ad transactions globally and invests heavily in AI-driven automation and data intelligence.

The team is moving an existing AdTech ecosystem from monolithic, client-specific builds to a multi-tenant, API-driven platform made of reusable microservices and intelligent services.

The stack is built on AWS serverless services and adds AI-assisted automation, recommendation systems, workflow optimization, data enrichment, and LLM-powered features across the advertising lifecycle.

This is a remote-friendly role.

Key technologies: TypeScript, Node.js, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EventBridge, OpenAI APIs, GraphQL, RESTful APIs, Terraform, CloudFormation, vector databases.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-performance back-end microservices and AI-enabled services in TypeScript and Node.js.

  • Create scalable serverless solutions with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
  • Work with cross-functional colleagues on API-first architecture and OpenAPI specifications.
  • Make sure tenant data stays isolated and follows the established AdTech data models.
  • Contribute reusable libraries, templates, AI integration patterns, and engineering standards.
  • Review code with attention to performance, reliability, observability, and service quality.
  • Turn product and AI feature requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Help move the platform toward more automation, standardization, and reuse.
  • Take part in continuous improvement work and technical decisions.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of commercial experience as a back-end developer.
  • Strong hands-on skill with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Experience building API-first microservice architectures.
  • Practical experience integrating AI services, LLM APIs, or AI-assisted workflows.
  • Hands-on work with AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
  • Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering and AI integration approaches.
  • Understanding of multi-tenant architectures and logical data isolation.
  • Interest in AdTech products, automation, and AI-driven optimization.
  • English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
  • A plus: experience with ML and AI experimentation projects.
  • A plus: exposure to recommendation systems or data intelligence platforms.
