Middle Python Developer (ML)

Description

A Swedish telecommunications company that builds large-scale technology for complex infrastructure is hiring a mid-level Python developer for its AI work. The company operates internationally, serves millions of users, and works with global technology partners on digital transformation.

You will join one of two AI initiatives: an LLM assistant that searches and answers questions over large technical documentation, or a knowledge graph platform that organises and links enterprise data for AI use.

The stack includes Python, LLMs, RAG, vector embeddings, hybrid search, and knowledge graphs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM features and RAG pipelines, from data ingestion through to answer generation.
• Build and tune retrieval that combines vector embeddings with semantic and keyword search.
• Prepare, clean, and structure source material so that AI-generated answers are more accurate and relevant.
• Assess model quality, try new approaches, and move proven ones into production.
• Collaborate with the team to plug AI components into the wider platform.
• Take changes from design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Work independently, and raise blockers, scope questions, and technical trade-offs early.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience on AI or ML projects.
• Solid Python skills with hands-on implementation experience.
• Practical experience with LLMs and current AI tools.
• Practical experience with RAG architecture, vector embeddings, and hybrid search.
• Experience preparing information to improve AI quality: data preparation, chunking, metadata enrichment, and relevance tuning.
• Ability to work independently and own tasks from design through deployment.
• Upper-Intermediate English.
• A plus: experience with knowledge graphs or graph databases.
• A plus: background in the telecommunications domain.
