Middle+ Project Manager (Remote, Contract)

Description

This is a remote contract role running projects that cut across departments, working with business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Run projects from start to finish and oversee several at once across departments, keeping them on target for scope, schedule and spending.
• Plan each project: design the solution, set the budget, assign people and manage risks.
• Study workflows and business processes, find where they can be improved, and turn those findings into project requirements you can act on.
• Improve processes through research, process mapping, data analysis and gap analysis.
• Guide cross-functional business and technical teams on scope, priorities and the backlog.
• Lead rollout and change management so stakeholders stay involved and adoption goes smoothly.
• Connect business systems, processes and technology solutions into one working whole.
• Keep stakeholders informed throughout: clarify requirements, report progress, present results and set expectations.

Requirements

• 4+ years in project management, including leading projects from the first request through to implementation.
• Experience at a product company or startup, working with internal stakeholders and users.
• Experience managing digital products, SaaS, technology or AI-related projects.
• Experience with AI-powered products, AI solutions or AI-enabled business processes.
• A track record of improving business workflows and delivering work beyond development and standard SDLC processes.
• English at Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level.
• Plus: background in Business Analysis or Product Management.
• Plus: proficiency in no-code or low-code tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Bubble or Bolt.
