Microsoft 365 Engineer

Description

The company is looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 engineer for a full-time, regular role on a team that designs, builds and manages the M365 GCC tenant.

The job centres on day-to-day operational support and service delivery, handling customer and developer requests and resolving complex incidents.

No security clearance is needed to start, and the role involves no travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide full end-to-end support for OneDrive, Teams, Exchange and Copilot.
• Oversee how Copilot and Copilot Studio are administered, governed and protected.
• Run the life cycle of Power Platform environments.
• Administer Power BI environments and workspaces.
• Work with architects, network engineers and security specialists to test and roll out Power Platform updates.
• Take part in service delivery work that improves the availability, security and performance of the managed services.
• Lead or join troubleshooting of complex incidents alongside other infrastructure teams.
• Help write and maintain standard operating procedures and run books for the managed services.
• Keep the customer informed about operational status and progress on agreed deliverables, and give early warning of upcoming changes or agreed outages.

Requirements

• Required: the ability to attain DHS EOD.
• Required: a BA with 10 years of applicable experience, an AA with 12 years, or 15 years of experience.
• Required: 5 or more years supporting SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online and Power Platform.
• Required: hands-on experience managing Copilot and Copilot Studio.
• Required: strong communication skills, including explaining key ideas clearly and gathering useful feedback from cross-functional colleagues and stakeholders.
• Required: 5 or more years of architecture and solution design work with Microsoft 365.
• Required: hands-on administration of SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online and Power BI.
• Required: hands-on experience implementing, deploying, migrating and supporting M365 Collaboration services.
• Required: hands-on experience with M365 PowerShell and automation.
• Desired: an MS certification.
• Desired: Microsoft Certified: Information Security Administrator Associate.

Conditions

Salary depends on several factors, including location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills, education and certifications.

The role can be worked from more than one location, so the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range is $98,500-$206,800.

The position is full time and regular, with no travel and no security clearance required to start.
