Description

The company is a new startup, still in its launch phase, backed by an incubation firm that builds and invests in fast-scaling technology companies in healthcare, cyber, and national security.

The startup helps regulated organizations such as healthcare providers and government bodies turn their institutional knowledge into assets that make AI more accurate, reliable, and useful in day-to-day work. Customers keep ownership and control of the AI capabilities they build, and can measure and keep improving them.

The team is made up of builders, researchers, and operators.

This is a remote role open to people based in the United States. You will join a small deployment team that works inside customer environments and covers the full technical lifecycle, from defining the problem to building data pipelines, designing evaluations, deploying AI agents, and refining them against measurable goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with enterprise customer teams to learn their businesses, operating environments, and workflows.
  • Turn real operational problems into clearly scoped AI solutions.
  • Design, build, deploy, and improve production-grade AI agents for each customer's specific problems.
  • Build the data pipelines, integrations, and supporting systems needed to run AI solutions inside customer environments.
  • Create evaluation systems that measure agent performance, then use the results to guide improvements.
  • Convert complex business requirements into technical architectures, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build deep knowledge of each customer's domain and use it to make your AI systems more relevant and effective.
  • Work closely with the Product, Platform, Research, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable, joined-up solutions.
  • Identify reusable engineering practices, agent patterns, and technical frameworks that future deployments can draw on.
  • Pass lessons from customer deployments back to platform and product teams as clear, actionable feedback.
  • Diagnose technical and operational problems in customer environments and see them through to resolution.
  • Explain technical decisions, progress, risks, and results clearly to customer stakeholders and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering skills and a genuine interest in solving complex, real-world problems alongside customers.
  • Able to shift between a customer's wider business challenge and the technical detail needed to address it.
  • Comfortable entering unfamiliar environments, learning fast, and adding structure to unclear problems.
  • Take ownership of outcomes and stay accountable through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.
  • Focused on solutions that work in practice rather than prototypes or proof-of-concept demos.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people, and earn the trust of senior customer leaders.
  • Approach customers with curiosity and good judgment, listening carefully before proposing a solution.
  • Balance urgent customer needs with building reusable technical patterns and systems.
  • Work well across engineering, product, research, and operations teams.
  • Driven by the purpose and real-world impact of the work rather than by access to new technology.
  • Willing and able to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full-stack work with strong backend skills.
  • Hands-on experience building and shipping AI applications in production.
  • Solid understanding of AI agent architectures, evaluation methods, and what it takes to run agents reliably.
  • Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and system integrations.
  • Able to design evaluation systems and use performance data to guide technical iteration.
  • Experience turning business and operational requirements into technical solutions.
  • Able to move between solution architecture, hands-on implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers or stakeholders in complex or ambiguous settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including with senior stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
