MEM/Intune Engineer

Description

The company is hiring a MEM/Intune engineer to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program.

You will join a team that engineers and implements an enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solution capable of managing all Windows and Bring Your Own Approved Device (BYOAD) endpoints.

On the EITaaS program, the company delivers an enterprise ITSM solution, an enterprise service desk, an endpoint management and security solution, and CONUS/OCONUS field and life cycle support for end user devices, so the DAF can shift its focus from IT operations to mission operations.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement the Intune solution for the DAF as an experienced MEM/Intune engineer.
• Lead diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis of production deployment errors and explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design and configure Azure components to meet DoD security requirements, including applicable STIGs, the DoD Cloud Computing SRG, and DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) functional requirements.
• Carry out vulnerability remediation, patching, and software and firmware upgrades in line with DoD requirements.
• Automate routine tasks such as configuration management and system maintenance using PowerShell and Azure Automation.
• Provide subject matter expertise for technical documentation, including the System Design Document (SDD), Configuration Management Plan, Contingency Plan, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and other ATO documentation.
• Work with internal teams and DAF stakeholders to develop new cloud engineering approaches and opportunities.
• Design rollout strategies for large enterprise environments.
• Configure Surface Hub devices as Teams Meeting Room Devices.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor Cert Connectors.
• Manage macOS with Intune, including configuration, security, and application patching and deployment.
• Migrate many thousands of systems between Intune configuration versions.
• Compare and differentiate large Intune configuration profiles.
• Troubleshoot Intune enrollment issues across identity and enrollment mechanics.
• Build Defender and KQL reporting.

Requirements

• Required: CompTIA Security+ or another DoD Approved 8570 Baseline certification at IAT Level II or higher.
• Required: 10+ years of relevant experience. A bachelor's degree in an applicable field may replace 5 years of experience.
• Required: US citizenship.
• Required: Active Secret clearance.
• Required: Experience testing, deploying, and troubleshooting Microsoft and third-party software updates.
• Required: Experience deploying applications and updates via Intune.
• Required: Experience managing a large endpoint infrastructure.
• Required: Experience managing Windows Servers and Workstations. Mobile device experience is a plus.
• Required: Experience working in a DoD environment.
• Required: Familiarity with STIG requirements.
• Required: Experience managing macOS with Intune.
• Required: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with close attention to detail.
• Required: Ability to shift quickly to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
• Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Desired: Experience integrating Intune with ServiceNow automation.
• Desired: Ability to act independently to find and fix problems.
• Desired: Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102).

Conditions

Travel: up to 10%, local.

Work location: the role can be based in more than one location; the salary range shown is the national average for the position.

Salary range: $75,200-$158,100. Final pay depends on factors including geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
