Qualification Execution Engineer - 2272

Description

The role supports customer qualifications for the company's datacenter SSD products. During the product qualification phase, you help with test execution, failure analysis and status reporting, making sure all hardware and software for the qualification is ready to run, reporting on execution and issue status, and joining update meetings.

The company makes flash memory and solid state drives, and its BiCS FLASH 3D memory is used in advanced smartphones, PCs, SSDs, automotive systems and data centers. The company America, Inc. is its U.S. subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure the infrastructure needed for testing
• Keep customer qualification execution on schedule
• Coordinate tasks with the matching Product Support Engineer
• Carry out first-pass failure triage on issues found during qualification
• Respond to debug requests through the defect ticket tracking systems
• Work issues to resolution through repeated testing and analysis

Requirements

• A BS in engineering or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of hands-on experience with SSDs and/or platform hardware testing
• A solid grasp of computer system architecture fundamentals
• Platform-level troubleshooting, including run, break and fix work and isolating issues
• Experience triaging issues on Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
• Experience writing Python, PowerShell or Bash scripts
• Comfort working with data using spreadsheets or more advanced tools
• Clear technical communication, with detail, in complex situations
• Optional: experience with PCIe/NVMe protocols, including analyzer and power measurement tools
• Optional: experience with SSD performance measurement tools and methods
• Optional: experience using SSD test systems

Expected salary is $85,820.00 to $143,030.00
