Medical Imaging Field Engineer - MR - Baltimore, MD/Washington, D.C.

This is a field role based in the D.C. metro service area (Baltimore, MD and Washington, D.C.) for the Medical Imaging Field Engineer 1 position, with the engineer level set by prior experience.

You will work on MR equipment at customer sites, where you install, service, maintain and modify imaging systems, and you will meet customers face to face.

Most of the technical work follows pre-defined procedures to complete defined service jobs on customer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs that are both prompt and effective.
• Train equipment operators so systems perform well and customers stay satisfied.
• Keep your territory on budget or ahead of it for revenue, expenses and inventory.
• Look after company assets, including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools and spare parts.
• Build and maintain sound working relationships with customers and colleagues, and complete administrative work accurately.

Requirements

• You have a high school diploma, a technical degree or equivalent experience as a minimum.
• You have knowledge and hands-on experience with service, preventive maintenance and modifications on medical imaging equipment at customer sites, working with minimal supervision.
• You have experience testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment.
• You are skilled with hand tools and service test equipment, and you can work alone or as part of a team.
• 1+ years of field service experience is desired.
• You can travel and service equipment across your assigned area.
• You can drive independently day and night and have a good driving record, with a valid driver's license.
• You can lift 50 lbs from the floor to above waist or head height and do the physical work of walking, climbing ladders and step stools, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, reaching high, fine hand work and working alone, with good vision.
• You must hold a valid driver's license in your state of residence and have no prior DUI or DWI convictions, no pending DUI or DWI charges and no other serious moving violations, unless state or local law prohibits such a restriction.
• You must be able to work with controlled technology under US export control law.

Conditions

The base pay range is $55,230 to $75,944, and starting pay depends on factors such as location, skills, education, experience and other qualifications.

The role may be commission eligible under the company plan, with commissions based on individual performance, company performance or both.

Your shift runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, once onboarding and training are complete.

You will join an on-call rotation after training and certification.
