Description

The work is about education for Australian GPs and primary care staff, with the aim of supporting better patient care.

Based in Sydney, hybrid or remote within Australia.

The company is a global events and exhibitions business. Its Australian healthcare side runs face-to-face medical education through GPCE and digital CPD through ThinkGP, and is a leading private provider of CPD for GPs and healthcare professionals on those two platforms.

ThinkGP is an online platform offering free, accredited CPD, including modules, clinical audits and advanced courses. The RACGP and ACRRM accredit its education.

You would help shape the content development process, from first concept through to final publication and delivery.

You would turn medical evidence, guidelines and learning objectives into clear, relevant, practical learning for busy healthcare professionals, working with clinical experts, medical writers and internal teams.

The role covers several projects and formats, including ThinkGP online learning and GPCE conference content. You would balance clinical accuracy, accreditation requirements, editorial quality and the needs of different stakeholders.

You would report to the Portfolio Director, with a dotted line to the Head of Content, and work closely with the Project Manager, clinical experts, writers, and the editorial, digital and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Content, clinical experts and medical writers to set learning outcomes and build strong GP education.
  • Turn medical evidence and clinical guidelines into engaging, practical educational content.
  • Check that content meets educational objectives, editorial standards and RACGP/ACRRM accreditation requirements.
  • Brief and manage medical writers, set timelines and give clear editorial direction at every stage.
  • Review, edit and proofread CPD activities, conference presentations and supporting learning resources.
  • Keep clinical accuracy, tone and editorial style consistent across GPCE and ThinkGP.
  • Work with clinicians and other stakeholders to handle feedback and content revisions.
  • Oversee final uploads and quality assurance in the ThinkGP and GPCE systems.
  • Find ways to improve workflows and help the team scale content production efficiently.

Requirements

  • You have experience in medical or scientific content and enjoy turning complex clinical information into accurate, useful, engaging education.
  • You are comfortable working directly with healthcare professionals and subject matter experts, and you stay organised and detail-focused while managing several content projects.
  • Experience developing medical, clinical or scientific educational content.
  • Strong medical writing, editing and proofreading skills for both digital and print.
  • Confidence interpreting medical evidence and clinical guidelines.
  • Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, medical writers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to editorial and clinical accuracy.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and Excel.
  • Knowledge of RACGP and/or ACRRM accreditation requirements, or a willingness to learn them.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 or other e-learning development software is an advantage.

Conditions

Hybrid or remote within Australia, based in Sydney.

Equal opportunity: the company offers a fair and accessible hiring process and can make accommodations on request.

Benefits

  • You would work across both digital learning and major live events, which gives more variety than a traditional medical writing role.
  • You would join a small team and have a say in how GP education is developed and delivered.
  • You would see your work help GPs and, in turn, improve patient care.
  • You would collaborate with clinical experts and turn the latest evidence and guidance into practical education.
  • You would own content from concept through to delivery, not just one part of the process.
  • You would help improve how the team works and bring new ideas to content development and production.
  • The company offers country-specific benefits, which are available through its benefits page for your location.
