MDM Software Engineer

The GPC Global Technology Center in Krakow was set up in 2022 by the company as a research and development site that supports the company's digital transformation.

The company is a specialty distributor of automotive and industrial replacement parts and value-added services, founded in 1928 and based in Atlanta, Georgia. It runs more than 10,000 locations worldwide and employs 60,000 people.

The Krakow hub builds advanced technologies for the company's operations and growth. Its projects cover e-commerce and data platforms, supply chain, selling systems and cyber security, and the team is made up of experienced IT engineers.

This role configures and builds solutions in Informatica PIM Product 360 to support master data processes across AAG Europe. It suits someone who enjoys turning technical options into business solutions. It is application engineering around structured data, SQL-linked models and business process logic, more than general software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set up workflows according to the business design.
• Create and maintain repository structures linked to SQL database fields.
• Build data quality rules and configure data flows, endpoints, hotfolders and message queues.
• Lead the creation of PIM solutions for business requirements, designing with performance and processing time in mind.
• Help roll out changes across European entities and work across the DEV, ACC and PROD environments.
• Maintain and extend Python scripts for mail generation, SharePoint transfers and data exports.
• Make basic Java SDK changes when needed and understand Gradle and Maven build processes.
• Analyse logs, troubleshoot technical issues and use SQL queries to validate data.
• Support structured releases through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines and manage code in Git.
• Take part in Agile and Scrum events, including standups, refinement, retrospectives and stakeholder alignment.
• Work with business stakeholders and help improve documentation and processes.

Requirements

• Experience with Informatica PIM Product 360 or a comparable product information management system, or a strong wish to learn it.
• A strong affinity for data flows and data processes.
• An understanding of master data and workflow concepts.
• SQL knowledge, including SQL Server and SSMS.
• Basic to intermediate Python skills.
• Java knowledge for maintenance and configuration-level changes.
• An understanding of DevOps deployment processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• An analytical, structured way of working and clear communication.
• Exposure to UiPath and familiarity with Power BI are both expected.
