Description

The company is reshaping the future of mobility while running one of the most complex manufacturing setups in the world.

The manufacturing cybersecurity team protects the technology, systems and data that keep plants safe, resilient and productive.

You will be the hands-on cybersecurity partner for your assigned plant. You will carry out the manufacturing cybersecurity program, manage fixes, support incident response and disaster recovery, and work with plant, IT, cybersecurity, supplier and global teams to lower risk while production keeps running.

This is an individual contributor role. You will use your own judgment, execute with strength, and juggle competing priorities with little oversight. Your work helps keep manufacturing operations secure, resilient and ready for production.

Responsibilities

  • Run the manufacturing cybersecurity program at your assigned plant.
  • Find, report, rank and fix endpoint security problems and vulnerabilities.
  • Support incident response, investigations, recovery work and follow-up actions.
  • Assess cybersecurity readiness for new initiatives, pilots, launches and post-launch operations.
  • Plan cybersecurity workstreams, site readiness, staffing, timelines, dependencies and open items.
  • Work with plant operations, IT, cybersecurity, suppliers and global teams to put effective controls in place.
  • Patch and update firmware on production-critical equipment and OT assets using appropriate practices.
  • Report cybersecurity status, risks, likely downtime, fix plans and recovery progress to plant leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Find and resolve cybersecurity issues with minimal disruption to manufacturing.
  • Write up assessments, fixes, incident follow-up, recovery steps and operating procedures.
  • Track issues to closure and escalate risks, dependencies and possible production impacts promptly.
  • Help improve plant cybersecurity processes, controls and operational readiness over time.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of relevant work experience may be considered instead.
  • At least 1 year of experience in cybersecurity, automotive or manufacturing operations, industrial control environments, plant technology support or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including endpoint security, vulnerability management, incident response and recovery.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, prioritizing and fixing cybersecurity issues and vulnerabilities.
  • Working knowledge of patching production-critical equipment and updating firmware on OT assets.
  • Ability to run projects, handle competing priorities and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate with plant operations, IT, cybersecurity, suppliers and global stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining cybersecurity risks, fix plans and operational impacts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to judge cybersecurity readiness for initiatives, pilots, launches and post-launch operations.
  • Sound judgment in balancing cybersecurity requirements against production continuity and operational priorities.
  • Preferred: experience with manufacturing automation equipment, industrial control systems or plant-floor technology.
  • Preferred: experience configuring, deploying and supporting cybersecurity tools in manufacturing or OT environments.
  • Preferred: experience with plant-floor disaster recovery, recovery testing or operational resilience planning.
  • Preferred: experience supporting automotive manufacturing operations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial networks or comparable OT systems.
  • Preferred: experience coordinating cybersecurity controls and remediation across several plant or enterprise stakeholders.
  • Preferred: familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability management practices and OT security standards.
