Description

The company is hiring a Market Community Engagement Lead for Chicago and the wider Central Café footprint. The role builds trust with local people, grows community impact and raises brand visibility, acting as the main on-the-ground authority on the market. It links large-scale community investment to experiences people have locally.

The lead works inside a central Signature Experiences function alongside local Café leaders, Retail Marketing, Community Impact & Investment (CII) and other strategy teams. The goal is to turn Cafés into community hubs that raise brand awareness and support financial well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the local expert: build detailed neighborhood profiles, gather insights that feed central programming, and run repeatable experiences and local campaigns across the Central region.
  • Work with CII, Global Policy Affairs and the Market Presidents Network (MPN) to agree local portfolios, follow grant partnerships and plan regional program expansion.
  • Be the hands-on delivery point for community investments, bringing vetted non-profit partners and grantees into Café programs and local events with CII.
  • Work directly with Café Coaches, Market Executives and Café teams on readiness plans and tools so Café Ambassadors can run experiences smoothly.
  • Review and steer every local event proposal through the Well Managed Risk Review process, and handle event budgets, third-party vendor contracts, POs and invoices to corporate standards.
  • Build trust with local civic, business and non-profit groups, and bring new strategic partnerships and sponsorships into the market through strong brand storytelling.
  • Ideal candidates can drive execution by: finding hyper-local needs and passing them to the Market Programming team; adapting national brand activations and product campaigns into in-Café and out-of-Café experiences; rolling out both broad financial health offerings (for example Money & Life) and hyper-local community programs in target markets; and liaising on experiential programming delivery.

Requirements

  • Basic: bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • Basic: at least 3 years of project or process management experience.
  • Basic: at least 2 years of business development or community engagement experience.
  • Preferred: 4+ years of project, process or event management experience.
  • Preferred: 5+ years in a customer-facing or community-focused setting such as retail, hospitality, corporate responsibility or non-profit management.
  • Preferred: proven success working through complex, matrixed stakeholders in cross-functional pod structures.
  • Preferred: experience managing event budgets, vendor contracts and compliance or risk protocols.
