Description

The team is a skilled, collaborative group of analysts and experimentation specialists. Working with product, design, engineering, sales, marketing, strategy and finance, it uses careful testing, analysis and fresh views of data to find product changes that lift revenue.

Its focus areas include fan insights, ticket sales, shopping behavior, analytics for the website and mobile app, new revenue streams, venue and client analysis, and customer lifetime value.

This is a leadership role for an experienced experimentation and product analytics professional, and it includes hands-on work. You will help build a scalable experimentation practice that guides product choices and improves the fan experience, working with product, design, engineering, research and analytics.

The company runs the world's largest ticket marketplace for live events and is a global leader in live event ticketing products and services. It works with thousands of venues, artists, sports teams, festivals, performing arts centers and theaters, and handles 550 million tickets a year across 35+ countries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product experimentation program, including its processes, governance, measurement standards and onboarding of teams.
  • Act as the hands-on expert for Optimizely, covering experiment setup, audience targeting, QA, instrumentation checks and test monitoring.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to find testing opportunities and design statistically sound A/B, multivariate and other experiments.
  • Read experiment results, explain what they show and where they fall short, and turn them into recommendations for product strategy and roadmap.
  • Define and track key digital metrics linked to fan and business goals, together with stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to find trends, patterns and openings that improve the fan journey from start to finish.
  • Build analytics tools, methods and self-service resources so teams can make better data-informed decisions.
  • Turn business questions into analysis and experimentation solutions.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the North America Insights and Analytics organization.
  • With the Research team, combine behavioral, experimental and qualitative insights into a deeper picture of fan needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and running a product experimentation program end to end, from hypothesis and test design through implementation, analysis and recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience with Optimizely or a comparable platform, including configuring, QA, launching and monitoring experiments.
  • Advanced statistics knowledge: hypothesis testing, power analysis and sample size planning, confidence intervals, sequential testing, multiple comparison correction and variance reduction.
  • Demonstrated ability to spot and handle common experimentation pitfalls, such as sample ratio mismatch, peeking, novelty effects and interaction between concurrent tests.
  • Ability to design and run complex product experiments, including A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Advanced use of AI tools and LLMs to speed up analytics, such as writing and debugging queries, automating recurring analysis and reporting, generating test hypotheses and summarizing results. You must check AI output for accuracy.
  • Experience with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Contentsquare.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with hands-on experience in Databricks and Google BigQuery.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex findings into clear stories for non-technical audiences.
  • Coach and enable others so they build confidence and skill in experimentation.
  • Understand stakeholder needs, build analytical frameworks and deliver data-driven strategic insight.
  • Build rapport and trust with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and stay open to their ideas.
  • Bring curiosity and intellectual honesty, and let the data challenge your own assumptions.
  • Focus on the highest-impact work and manage your time to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and environments, and stay resilient through setbacks.
