Linux Software Development Intern (Hybrid - San Antonio, TX)

Description

You will help the company build, improve, and secure its software delivery environment as a Linux Software Development Intern, working alongside the engineering team.

This is a hybrid role based in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

• Help build and mature delivery pipelines for Linux-based products.
• Help bring AI engineering and development methods into the company's engineering infrastructure and tools.
• Work on projects covering Linux and Elixir development environments.
• Help find, track, and assist in fixing security vulnerabilities.
• Help improve security tools and processes that make the company's products safer.
• Learn software development, DevOps, AI engineering, and cybersecurity hands-on while working with experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and software development concepts.
• Grasp of programming fundamentals and software engineering best practices.
• Interest in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted software development, or cybersecurity.
• Quick learner who works well in a collaborative team.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Exposure to Linux development environments through coursework or personal projects.
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Elixir, or similar.
• Understanding of security concepts, vulnerability management, or software quality practices.
• Experience with Git, automation tools, or cloud-based development environments is a plus.
