Define the physical and logical boundaries, data flows, and cloud-to-on-prem networking, such as VPN and ExpressRoute, in explicit terms.
Run independent, objective Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) studies that combine technology assessments, cost, and trade-offs.
Maintain the enterprise architecture artifact repository.
Keep the architecture aligned with DoW strategic directives, including the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA).
Own the digital twin: build, govern, and maintain authoritative MBSE models of the hybrid enterprise in SysML or an equivalent language.
Make sure the models accurately show physical, logical, and security boundaries and stay interoperable with JCWA.
Update the models from deployment feedback and independent configuration audits so the repository stays close to real-time changes.
Lead configuration control and ensure the as-built state matches across environments.
