Lead Security Systems Solutions Engineer

The company is a leading global technology and entertainment business, and this role is embedded within it for a client.

You will own the architecture and technical direction of the security technology ecosystem and lead the Solutions Engineering (SE) team that designs, integrates and supports it.

The role blends deep systems administration and integration work with project and program leadership. You will be the main point of contact for all SE work and oversee each project from intake to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own system design and integrations across the security technology ecosystem so it scales securely as the business grows.
• Evaluate and choose technologies, build proofs of concept and lead adoption of new security tools, including cloud camera analytics and AI-driven tools.
• Define and enforce technical standards, architectural patterns, and security and data protection requirements.
• Act as technical adviser on support escalations and as subject matter expert for access control, video security and analytics.
• Be the single intake point for all SE projects, triaging and prioritizing incoming requests.
• Lead discovery discussions during project design and scoping to match business goals with technical realities.
• Assign projects to Solutions Engineers and oversee each one to completion, keeping delivery on schedule, in scope and aligned with strategic goals.
• Manage the SE portfolio, including roadmap, priorities, dependencies and status reporting to leadership.
• Allocate resources and balance workload across the SE team, and mentor engineers through delivery.
• Identify technical, operational and security risks early, before they block progress.
• Design and maintain integrations between security platforms (access control, VMS, visitor management) and enterprise systems, including legacy systems.
• Design ETL workflows that turn security data into business intelligence.
• Find and deploy automation that removes repetitive manual work.
• Lead upgrades, enhancements and migrations, and keep systems up through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs and training materials.
• Work with Security Operations, IT, Engineering, Product and business stakeholders, and explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• At least 8 years programming and administering enterprise, multi-site physical security systems.
• At least 3 years in a security systems architecture or technical leadership role.
• Genetec Synergis SC-STC-001 and/or SC-ETC-001 certification.
• Hands-on experience deploying, integrating and supporting physical security technologies.
• Proven project or program management experience, including intake, scoping, resource allocation and running several concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience building PoCs, selecting technologies and mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in studio production, entertainment or technology industries.
