Description

This Lead Product Analyst role sits in the Business Account squad, within the business onboarding team.

You will work to understand what business customers need when they sign up for the first time, when they regain access to their account, and when they complete the checks required to use the product safely.

The job is to balance conversion, customer experience, operational efficiency and risk controls, cutting unnecessary friction for legitimate businesses while stopping bad actors.

You will work across Business Pricing, Account Experience and Verification to create a smooth, joined-up experience for business customers.

The company is a global technology company that moves and manages money internationally for individuals and businesses.

Details of the analytics career map and levelling structure are available separately.

Responsibilities

  • Own the KPI tree and core metrics for business onboarding, keep them aligned, and help the team track its progress.
  • Share recommendations with senior stakeholders.
  • Use data exploration and funnel analysis to find high-impact opportunities in the onboarding flow, and work with the team to prioritise the projects with the greatest leverage.
  • Lead experiments and A/B tests for business onboarding, defining hypotheses and metrics, and turn the results into roadmap recommendations that reduce friction and lift conversion.
  • Build and maintain data products and dashboards so PMs, design researchers and engineers can answer their own questions.
  • Design data foundations that AI systems can use for onboarding analytics: clean business entities, event schemas, semantic definitions, metadata, retrieval-friendly documentation and evaluation datasets, all with governance and context intact.
  • Work with your product manager, engineers and designers through the product development lifecycle, building and refining changes based on your findings.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in analytical roles, with excellent SQL and the ability to write clear, fast, reliable queries over large, complex datasets.
  • Strong experience in at least three of: funnel analysis, customer segmentation, cohort analysis, metrics decomposition, experimentation, causal inference, or product opportunity sizing.
  • Experience building and owning production-grade analytical assets, such as dbt models, Airflow jobs, semantic layers, metric stores, governed dashboards or trusted self-serve datasets.
  • An understanding of what makes data usable by AI systems: clean entities, stable identifiers, clear definitions, metadata, access controls, provenance, quality tests and documentation that can be retrieved and reasoned over.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced setting. You spot high-impact opportunities, deliver them, triage requests by impact, and know when to go deep and when 80/20 is enough.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. You make complex points clear and build dashboards and visualisations that tell a story and reveal causes.
  • Experience with at least one of: funnel analysis, customer segmentation or cohort analysis, or metrics decomposition. You structure a problem before analysing data and find the signal in noisy data.
  • Prior experience in B2B, with an understanding of business customers' financial and operational needs.
  • A/B testing or causal inference experience.
  • Familiarity with onboarding frameworks and KYC/KYB processes.
  • Proven ability to use AI and machine learning to improve analysis and automate routine work.
