Lead Engineer EI&C

Description

The company is hiring a lead engineer for its EI&C engineering group in Scandinavia, which sits within the PEx team.

The role combines advanced process control know-how with DCS application engineering. The work helps some of the world's top pulp producers improve performance, stability, quality and sustainability.

You will build, program and commission control solutions for cooking processes while working with customers, process experts and project teams.

The company has more than 225 years of industrial experience and over 19,000 staff close to customers.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of control solutions for cooking and fiberline processes, with a focus on automation and optimisation.
• Design and build advanced process control for pulp mill cooking.
• Write and configure DCS applications and control strategies.
• Take part in automation design, testing, commissioning and start-up.
• Study process performance to find ways to optimise operations and make them more stable.
• Work with process engineers, project managers and customers across the project lifecycle.
• Give technical leadership within your area of expertise.
• Support customer service assignments, upgrades and optimisation projects.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in automation, electrical, process or chemical engineering, or another relevant technical field.
• Several years working with industrial automation and process control.
• Experience programming DCS and developing control applications.
• Knowledge of advanced process control principles and how to implement them.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in international project teams.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of cooking, fiberline or continuous process industries is considered an advantage.
• A mix of automation, programming and process engineering skills, a curious and solution-oriented approach, and a proactive sense of ownership.
