Description

The North America Information Management team is hiring a lead for data and analytics with a focus on AI and advanced analytics.

You will help build AI, machine learning and enterprise data architecture, with a focus on data engineering and Palantir Skywise integration. The goal is better operational decisions, more efficient assembly lines and higher productivity across the North American divisions.

You will report directly to the Head of AI and Advanced Analytics on a regional team that supports the company Americas with data and digital systems. The team works between technical delivery, data architecture and practical AI applications. You will work with shop-floor managers, digital specialists and executives across commercial aviation and helicopters, turning assembly, supply chain and manufacturing problems into reusable technical assets.

The company is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain scalable end-to-end data pipelines and analytical workflows in Palantir Skywise, using Code Repository, Pipeline Builder, Ontology, Slate, AIP Assist and Workshop, to turn aviation manufacturing and flight data into operational insights.
  • Manage the administration, scalability and user enablement of enterprise analytics platforms, including Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Serve as the main technical authority for data engineering and Palantir Skywise across North America Digital. Set development standards, enforce data governance and security, and keep improving data assets.
  • Work with operational leaders at regional sites, such as Mobile, AL and Grand Prairie, TX, to turn assembly, logistics and supply chain problems into technical data requirements and data products.
  • Hands-on work to build and deploy advanced analytics and AI applications, including Generative AI, machine learning pipelines and custom AI personas, inside operational workflows.
  • Lead internal adoption of new AI developer tools, such as AIP Assist, Gemini and domain-specific AI agents, to automate coding, documentation and data cleansing.
  • Ingest, clean, catalog and structure data from APIs, databases, streaming feeds and flat files into solid feature sets and Ontologies.
  • Monitor, evaluate and tune existing analytics and AI applications to keep latency low, reduce technical debt and sustain business value.
  • Design, lead and run technical workshops and enablement sessions to grow analytics and AI use across regional sites.
  • Mentor junior analysts, engineers and citizen developers, and run peer code reviews.
  • Work with the North American AI Center of Excellence to build capability, create execution templates and support a data-driven, AI-first culture across the company Americas.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in data engineering, advanced analytics or business intelligence, or at least 7 years with a Master's degree.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems or a quantitative field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital initiatives and pipeline delivery in aerospace, manufacturing, transportation or complex operational settings.
  • A proven record as lead technical developer or subject matter expert, mentoring junior developers and setting code governance in agile teams.
  • 3+ years of deep, hands-on experience in Palantir Skywise, including Pipeline Builder, Workshop, Slate, AIP Assist, Code Repository, Ontology, Contour and Code Workbook.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL and Spark SQL to build fast, fault-tolerant pipelines.
  • Proven hands-on work with GenAI models, prompt engineering, agentic workflows and deploying AI or ML models into production.
  • Expert knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx and PowerBI.
  • Ability to explain complex data architectures and AI algorithms in plain business language to non-technical leaders.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Preferred: prior work in an international corporate environment with transatlantic cross-border coordination.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and MLOps pipelines.
  • Preferred: Palantir Foundry or Skywise certifications.
