Java Software Engineer with German

Description

The team is hiring a backend-focused Java developer to design, build and scale modern microservices.

You will work with engineering squads spread across countries and use AI-assisted tools to speed up development and improve system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance backend applications, microservices and REST APIs with current frameworks.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to write optimised code, generate tests and speed up debugging.
• Deliver clean, SOLID and easily testable code through reliable CI/CD workflows.
• Work with QA engineers, architects and stakeholders in an international agile setting.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional Java experience.
• Hands-on production work with Spring Boot and PostgreSQL or a similar relational database.
• A solid understanding of OOP, design patterns and unit testing.
• German at B1-B2 level for professional use.
• Python for scripting, automation or data processing.
• Practical use of AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, or willingness to adopt them in your daily work.
• Experience with container tools such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka.
