Description

The company builds rockets, spacecraft and critical subsystems for space missions, including trips to the Moon and Mars. It works quickly and builds its own hardware.

The IT team manages how staff across the world reach information and how computer systems, networks and devices run, covering areas from finance to launch operations. The team is made up of flexible problem solvers who support the company's in-house systems.

This is an onsite IT Support Specialist role keeping systems, networks and devices working for global staff. You will also help new hires get set up and working from their first day. The role suits someone who wants fast career growth, exposure to varied technologies and a place on a collaborative team. Curiosity and a steady drive to keep learning are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily IT support by answering questions, handling complaints and keeping every exchange with staff positive.
• Log and update Incident, Request, Problem, Change and Project tickets, along with other documentation.
• Be the contact for all new hire onboarding so each person is fully set up and able to work from day one.
• Take part in continuous improvement of the service, IT systems and processes.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years in IT support, plus a high school diploma or GED.
• Some exposure to most of the areas below, and solid hands-on experience in at least two of them: Windows or Linux desktop operating systems (imaging, maintenance, troubleshooting); PC hardware, including assembling and disassembling desktop PCs; networking infrastructure and basic troubleshooting with TCP/IP and DNS; a scripting language; Active Directory and Group Policy.

Conditions

Onsite role. Hours may include evenings and weekends, and you may be asked to join an on-call rotation as needed.

The work may involve long periods of sitting, standing, walking and computer use, plus occasional exposure to moderate noise, dust and fumes in production areas.
