Description

The company distributes electrical and energy-efficient products and services worldwide, aiming to make homes, businesses and industries more comfortable, safe and secure.

You will join the IT and Digital team to help drive digital adoption across the business.

You will lead and deliver key digital initiatives across branches, supply chain hubs and customer networks, helping the business adopt new ways of working and build high-quality digital products and services.

The work moves quickly, so projects still need solid planning, governance and delivery in line with agreed processes.

You will work with internal functions, suppliers and third-party partners. Building trusted relationships and communicating clearly will be central to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Set clear project plans, milestones, timelines and priorities.
  • Lead projects following the agreed lifecycle, method and governance procedures.
  • Track delivery against scope, time, budget, quality and business requirements.
  • Build, manage and report on project budgets, making sure resources are used responsibly.
  • Coordinate people, skills and capacity across cross-functional teams.
  • Spot risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities, and put effective mitigation plans in place.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with project teams, stakeholders, customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Ensure project paperwork, status reports and governance logs stay correct and up to date.
  • Manage expectations and resolve concerns while building solid ties with stakeholders.
  • Champion high-quality results that satisfy the agreed standards and what customers expect.
  • Assess project changes and their impact, secure approvals and minimise disruption.
  • Support procurement and supplier performance so goods and services arrive on time and meet requirements.
  • Run lessons learned sessions and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Report progress through regular governance forums and support delivery of agreed objectives.

Requirements

  • The company hires for behaviours and potential as well as experience. You will show:
  • Collaboration: you build partnerships and work with others toward shared goals.
  • Accountability: you act, get past obstacles, deal with challenges and keep your commitments.
  • Customer focus: you build solid customer relationships and deliver solutions that fit customer and business needs.
  • Direction: you set direction, delegate well and clear the way so work gets finished.
  • Stakeholder balance: you weigh different views and the interests of several stakeholders.
  • Team building: you foster belonging, keep morale up, share wins and acknowledge others' contributions.
  • Meeting every point is not required. If you show solid project management skills and eagerness to learn, the company wants to hear from you.
  • Ideally, you bring:
  • A track record of delivering projects with a recognised methodology.
  • Exposure to digital, technology and omnichannel work in customer-centred businesses.
  • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and resources.
  • Clear, confident communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage risks, issues, budgets, change and suppliers.

Conditions

The company values people from varied backgrounds and experiences, since diversity brings fresh ideas and stronger results.

Benefits

  • Contributory pension scheme and life assurance.
  • Performance-related bonus scheme.
  • 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays, rising with length of service.
  • Option to buy and sell holiday each year.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Learning and development opportunities from day one.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Free virtual GP service.
  • Healthy Mind Champions and wider health and wellbeing support.
  • Staff discounts and exclusive holiday offers.
  • Free financial support and education.
