IT Engineer - Smart Factory Operations CTBC

Join the Smartfactory Operations team in Timișoara, Romania, and help run and expand the manufacturing technology behind the company's digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Smartfactory systems running: MES (such as SAP DM), Manufacturing Service Bus, IoT Edge, Machine Data Acquisition and Recipe Management System.
• Provide second-level support for manufacturing IT applications.
• Advise the central key user and the local key users at the plants on all Smartfactory solutions.
• Monitor systems actively.
• Plan and coordinate system upgrades and patches.
• Help the business adopt digitalization solutions.
• Support the regional rollout of Smartfactory solutions.
• Take ownership of coordinating infrastructure and other related issues.
• Refine IT practices for project, portfolio and service management.
• Build collaboration with other teams and competence centers.
• Direct external providers so that services are delivered well worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, industrial engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years in IT engineering or a related field, ideally in manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Experience with ITSM incident, change and problem management.
• Business-fluent English, written and spoken.
• Clear communication and a structured way of working.
• A team player who supports colleagues.
• Openness to international business trips, 10-20% of the time.
• Desirable: knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), with SAP-DM preferred.
