INTERNSHIP - Cybersecurity

Description

The company is looking for a cybersecurity student or intern to join the team, ideally someone interested in the defensive side (Blue Team) who has already explored security independently through personal labs, projects or experiments.

The role gives you hands-on work with real systems and real security problems in an international setting, as part of a university internship.

You will support the cybersecurity operations group in monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management, working alongside experienced engineers across the organization on blue team work and on strengthening internal security operations.

Responsibilities

• Help track vulnerabilities and follow up with the IT team on fixes.
• Contribute to new projects as they come up, such as automating security tasks or maintaining operational workbooks and dashboards.
• Support incident response by checking unusual logins and helping triage incoming security alerts.
• Help review reported phishing emails, identify malicious messages and record your findings.
• Document security incidents and help update internal procedures, playbooks and security documentation.
• Work day to day with the cybersecurity team and learn how security operations run in practice.

Requirements

• You must have active student status and be able to sign an extracurricular internship agreement (Convenio de Prácticas) with your educational institution for 600 hours.
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. German is a plus but not required.
• You have solid networking knowledge from your studies, such as TCP/IP, firewalls and network segmentation.
• You understand the basics of security incidents, including common threats such as phishing, malware infections and other fundamental cyber attacks.
• You have hands-on experience with CTF platforms such as TryHackMe or HackTheBox.
• You have shown interest in cybersecurity through personal learning or projects, such as home labs, security challenges or experimenting with security tools.

Conditions

The role is an internship under a university agreement (convenio de prácticas), and you must be eligible to take internships as part of your studies.

The agreement can be signed after the selection process if needed.
