Description

For over 170 years the company has been built on boldness and enthusiasm. Its 9000+ colleagues across 105 nationalities work in boutiques, workshops and corporate offices, and share an independent outlook and a drive for excellence.

You will set the global direction for the watchmaking category, aiming to grow the business, raise brand recognition and appeal, protect profitability and build long-term brand value.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the category's five-year vision and strategy, based on market, consumer and competitor research, with revenue, volume and profit goals that fit company guidelines.
  • Define the positioning of each collection and its role within the company.
  • Work with Operations to build the manufacturing capacity the plan requires.
  • Track strategy delivery with key stakeholders and regional teams.
  • Run the watch business worldwide: monitor sales by collection, segment and market, and manage the range, novelties and product life cycles to protect performance and margin.
  • Work with Merchandising and Supply Chain on sales forecasts that inform factory planning.
  • Approve and rank production plans, balancing new launches against the core range.
  • Approve strategic, action and regional launch plans to keep strategy consistent globally and relevant locally.
  • Lead the Watches & Wonders project across all departments involved.
  • Drive new product development: oversee briefs, concepts, names, targets and positioning, secure approvals, and present to regional markets at showrooms.
  • Act as main contact for Creative Studio and Manufacture, make final decisions when needed, and co-sign key stages such as cost prices, validation notes and vouchers to issue.
  • With central and regional teams, build 360 action plans for new launches and existing products.
  • Set coefficient targets and track results. Review and approve finished product cost prices.
  • Set retail prices, plan price increases, and approve regional positioning of collections for consistency.
  • Analyze product performance indicators and drive corrective action to improve margin.
  • Plan clearance with Operations and Merchandising.
  • Lead a team of 25: handle recruitment, goal setting, performance reviews and salary proposals, and develop training plans and individual plans for direct reports.
  • Keep the company's vision, priorities and values visible within the team.

Requirements

  • A business or management degree and at least 15 years in the luxury sector.
  • Strong marketing skills and product judgment.
  • Proven ability to lead people: inspire, develop and rally teams, including across functions.
  • A test-and-learn mindset, agility, and the ability to work with varied profiles, from creatives to technical teams.
  • Substantial experience running projects or transformations in complex settings, delivering on time, to quality, within budget and resource limits.
  • International experience, with fluent French and English.
