Implementation Engineer

Its customers include data centers, healthcare, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing and higher education organizations, where systems must run precisely and reliably.

The company has been operating for more than 140 years and sells advanced technology, lifecycle services and field support.

This is a Technical Implementation Engineer role that supports the technical delivery of customer implementations and workplace technology solutions, working alongside Technical Specialists and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and deploy workplace and employee business software.
• Carry out data migrations and validate the migrated data as part of delivery.
• Troubleshoot software, server, authentication and integration problems during implementations.
• Run testing to confirm solutions are configured correctly and working before go-live.
• Record technical issues, fixes and project activity accurately.
• Work with EMEA customers and internal teams to understand technical and business needs.
• Join customer meetings and give implementation updates when needed.
• Help customers with system setup, user adoption and technical questions, and build good working relationships through prompt, professional support.
• Work with Project Managers, Consultants, Technical Specialists and other stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Contribute to project documentation, technical procedures and knowledge sharing.
• Raise risks, issues and technical blockers with senior team members promptly.
• Help keep project milestones and deadlines on track by organizing and prioritizing your work.
• Build your technical knowledge of company solutions, implementation methods and related technologies, and take part in training, certifications and professional development.
• Suggest ways to improve delivery processes and keep up with new technologies and industry trends.
• Help with implementations of other products.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with software installation, Internet Information Services, Microsoft SQL Server, writing SQL scripts, data migration, and SAML authentication.
• A genuine interest in customer service, with an understanding that customer success depends on the company's products and performance.
• Clear communication with colleagues and customers, including explaining technical installation details to people without a technical background.
• Proven experience in business analysis and requirements gathering, with a habit of identifying customer needs early to prevent implementation blockers.
• Experience resolving conflict and building teams, and bringing people together to deliver a project.
• A proven ability to learn new technology quickly through instruction and self-study.
• Ability to coach clients on new technologies and processes so they adopt the product successfully.
• Preferred: technical knowledge of server configuration.
