Description

The company is a Fortune 10 business that touches nearly every part of healthcare, offering insights, products and services that help people get quality care at a lower cost.

HR is building a new capability to turn manual, scattered processes into scalable workflows powered by AI.

This is the readiness half of a two-person setup. The process engineer finds opportunities and gets processes ready to build, while the People AI Solutions Designer builds the solution.

The role turns real HR work into practical solutions that become a dependable, repeatable part of daily HR operations, using automation and agent-based tools to improve efficiency, consistency and the employee experience.

Success means high-volume HR workflows are simplified and run consistently, priority workflows are running as agent-enabled solutions within the first six months, manual effort drops and capacity moves to higher-value work, adoption of AI-enabled workflows grows across HR, and a repeatable model for automation and agent deployment is in place.

Responsibilities

  • Finding and ranking opportunities (20%): look for high-volume, repetitive HR work that suits automation, document with process owners how the work is actually done today, and rank candidates by business impact, technical cost, feasibility and employee experience.
  • Redesigning workflows (20%): remove duplicate steps, needless approvals and inconsistent intake. Set clear inputs, outputs, decision points and owners so each task is ready to act on. Shape flows for agents and automation rather than copying today's complexity.
  • Launching solutions (20%): direct the rollout of agent-based workflows on core platforms, work with process owners and technology teams on implementation, and pilot and refine based on real use and performance.
  • Running and scaling (20%): set standards for deployment, monitoring and ongoing improvement. Decide which work goes to an agent and which stays with a person. Keep workflows governed and maintained as routine operations.
  • Measuring results and driving adoption (20%): track capacity freed up, cycle-time gains and experience. Show HR and the business the value delivered, and build adoption through partnership and clear communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR, business, industrial engineering, information systems or a related field.
  • 10+ years in HR operations, process design, HR technology or service delivery, at P5 (Lead) individual contributor level.
  • A track record of taking work from idea to a deployed, measurable workflow.
  • A strong grasp of HR processes, where they break down, and where AI and automation fit.
  • Ability to design processes across systems, teams and handoffs at the level of detail automation requires.
  • Working knowledge of workflow tools, APIs and agent-based solutions, enough to partner with technical teams and the Solutions Designer without building solutions yourself.
  • Ownership of outcomes from idea to deployed workflow, including quality, adoption and measurable impact.
  • Preferred: a process-improvement credential (e.g., Lean or Six Sigma) or a design-thinking certification.

Conditions

The company is an equal opportunity employer.

Benefits

  • Base pay range: $122,100 to $162,800.
  • Pay is set by performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market checks and geographic market, and always complies with applicable regulations.
  • An annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunity may be offered in addition to base pay.
  • Compensation is part of the company's Total Rewards package and is competitive.
