HPE Networking Presales Consultant (f/m/d)

Description

The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.

The company is an edge-to-cloud company that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications.

The networking business combines Juniper Networks, now part of HPE, with HPE Networking products and talent, aiming for an AI-native, secure network across enterprises, service providers and cloud operators.

The role is based in Germany and sits in the sales function at job level TCP04.

Responsibilities

• Give technical leadership to sales colleagues on new and existing opportunities.
• Apply the HPE Networking portfolio to sales campaigns and build deep expertise in one discipline.
• Build trust with customers' technical decision-makers, learn their business and technical needs, and recommend suitable solutions against competitors.
• Work with HPE Networking's internal technical teams and Product Management to shape product direction and share knowledge.
• Keep customer relationships strong across the full product lifecycle.
• Represent HPE Networking in relevant national business associations, technical partner forums and end-user communities.
• Provide technical presales support to marketing activities where needed.

Requirements

• A master's degree, preferably in computer engineering or a related field.
• Experience and knowledge of IT networking, covering AIOps and management, routing, wireless, switching and security.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
• A positive, constructive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
• Drive to grow business by competing and winning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Ability to give sales presentations, lead whiteboard design sessions and run product demonstrations or seminars.
• Ability to work independently, remotely and collaboratively to reach goals.
• Willingness to travel and to adapt to flexible working patterns.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Desirable, not essential: experience in a technical sales role.
• Desirable, not essential: knowledge of HPE Aruba and Juniper networking and security products and technologies.
• Desirable, or the potential to acquire: understanding of public cloud, WAN technologies, secure data center and campus networks with enhanced security architectures.
• Desirable, or the potential to acquire: understanding of NetOps and DevOps using tools such as Python, Ansible and MCP/LLM, plus server, application or container automation.

Conditions

Hybrid role with an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.
